I don’t mind being slow because I am persistent. I get there when I get there. How about you getting there too!13

Hi everyone,
I signed up with UAC and simultaneously came down with severe tonsillitis and jaw pain for over a week that progressed to my back molar. How unlucky can you get that when you can indulge in medically approved buckets of ice-cream - your tooth screams in pain with a spoonful?!?
I know I have struck out my three passes - but I will continue back as of today.
If that is ok?
Shout out to Workmygoals for contacting me - thanks.

Exercise: Yes (walk 6km in 48 mins - hills).
Tracked: Yes
Budget: Yes
Longer walk today. Needed it. Not a good mental day for me today.
Got daughter to all appointments on time.
Wife completed second and final day of mental health first aid class. This was primarily to assist with daughter and her situation (but helps me as well).
Busy day tomorrow. First appointment with psychologist.
@RangerRickL. Agree that any progress is good progress.
There is a quote from the movie "The Incredibles" that I use (often in response to "Are we there yet?"). The quote is "We get there when we get there" (said with slight exasperation as if the question has been asked many times before).
However it is essential to ensure that what you are progressing toward is what you WANT to be progressing toward.
There is an old joke of an announcement over an airline's intercom from pilot to the passengers:
"This is your captain speaking. I have some good news and some bad news.
The bad news is that we are lost.
The good news is that we are making great time."

I am posting based on anticipated future behavior. I have dinner here at work and plan to eat it then go to straight to choir practice. Less change of messing that up! Traffic is better, too.
Yes x 3 - Barre class this morning. It was more crowed than its ever been. Must be late new year "resolutioners"
Your right Rick - slow and steady will get you where you want to go. But actually, I've already arrived! Maintenance is its own beast.9 -

Whew! What a day!
Got it all in, tho.
49 minutes of walking, but will get some easy VR in this evening.
Came in well under calories today and logged everything.
I’m tired today, but closed all the rings on my watch, so there’s that.9 -

I brought my almost 15 year old dog to the vet today. We talked about how healthy he is for such an old dog. He moves a little slower, but if he isn’t sleeping he is walking around. Slow & steady gets us there & we have to remember to use it or lose it.10 -

Slow and steady wins the race!
Got that “easy” VR in, lol. Went climbing. Opened a new mountain to climb. Holy crap I almost wet myself. I am legit terrified of heights and this new level? 30 minutes was all I could handle! It was frightening, lol. Did twenty minutes of boxing and cooled down shooting things in Audica.8 -
I walked a fair amount throughout the day logged and stayed under tomorrow looks like another snow shovel day 😢7

I had a PT appointment this morning to try to knock these little inner ear crystals back into the right place. I have the most common type of vertigo, called BPPV, and it shouldn't be a big deal but being dizzy off and on all day kind of wears you down over time. I think the physical therapist finally did what I couldn't seem to do on my own with what they call the Epley Maneuver. I have to sleep sitting up tonight and tomorrow night but so far I'm not dizzy.
I managed to get my dog out for a walk this evening so I'm still in the running for the Winner's Circle this month. Going out of town this weekend for Valentine's Day so may need to use a couple of those pass days though.
Exercise: Yes, walked the dog for about 35 minutes
Calories: Yes, under by about 300
Tracked: Yes, I had an extra piece of PB toast this morning so switched my lunch to something with less fat and less calories so I could come in under
Happy Hump Day Everyone!8 -

Slow is a challenge for me, warp speed seems to be a default setting.2 -
Exercise? Oui. 25 minutes yoga plus lots of cleaning.
Within my calorie budget? Hai. Closer to zero today!
Tracked everything? Ja.
I really like slow and steady. I get a little stressed when I see people not eating enough calories (too big of a deficit, being proud of eating way under, not eating any exercise calories, fasting, etc) because I lost a friend in college to anorexia. She was an athlete, tall and muscular, but convinced she had to get her weight way down to be a "normal girl".8 -

Yes, 25 minutes aerobics. Yes and yes I did.
I'm so thankful for this group and challenge. I saw the scale creep up yesterday and today despite being within calories and not eating workout calories. Plus doing my 25 minutes of cardio. I still don't understand why but normally I'd throw my hands up and just give up because it seems my hard work is doing nothing. Not today. We'll see what next week brings.7 -

Plenty of exercise. Hard working day today. Food choices - good.
I agree. If you are going to do this right, slow and steady is the way to go because it takes a while for habits and muscle memory to gel. I also agree that maintenance is its own beast.
That scream weight is always looming on the horizon.
Have a successful day tomorrow all!5
