Yes x3
Used most of my calories at a giant lunch at my in-laws' house. But since I'm in this challenge I logged everything, had just part of a protein bar for dinner, did 20 min of push-ups/lunges/situps/stretches, and walked back and forth while watching TV to get my steps up a bit! Came in under though a bit hungry. Time to read a book and fall asleep.7 -
@Bill70sStrong it’s great to have you back! May your recovery go very well!!!4

@Fongyi3
You can eat over your calorie budget, but still under your maintenance calories. As long as you are creating a deficit, you will lose weight. (1) The "what you will weigh in 5 weeks" is kinda silly since everyday is not the same. (2) You should read the post about scale fluctuations (maybe someone has the link), because it's normal for the scale to go up and down. Only the trend matters.
@Bill70sStrong
Glad that your recovery is going well. You will be back to oodles of exercise before you know it!

Pass day #5 as expected...
It was an absolutely beautiful sunny winter day in Northern Michigan as my oldest son and I finished up our first snowmobile trip together. All was well until I asked him if he wanted to switch machines. 5 minutes later his sled quit running with me on it. After towing it back down the trail to the road I took off to get the truck and trailer. It took an hour and 15 minutes to ride back taking all the shortcuts I could in areas I was not familiar with then another half hour drive in the truck to retrieve him and the sled. Fortunately it was in the direction of home. He wasn’t thrilled waiting that long especially because his phone thought it was too cold to operate....a virtual calamity for a teenager! Anyway it was still a good time and something we would both like to do again.
@craigo3154 Happy Anniversary .....my 20th is this fall.6 -
yes, x3 - but I tried introducing carbs again...and it's just too much of a crutch for me.... carbs are special occasion treats for me I've decided; this will be a tough day - preparing mentally because it is my son's bday...and my own is later in the week. I have lost 4 lbs this past month - but I know my body is trying to go back to set point... going to make conscious effort to up my activity at every turn...and just stay focused on diet. Sorry to "talk alot" - but ya know how it goes... it's either "talk it out" or have full blown conversations with the dogs... lol - ya'll take care of yourselves today as you love on those around you!6

@craigo3154 Happy 30th! What an inspiration!
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Danced for 1h with arm weights, after eating 1/3 of a baguette for breakfast 😱
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Nope, that baguette blew my budget
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
After finishing my diary input, MFP said if I ate like this everyday I would lose 3kg in 5wks...except I know when I wake up tomorrow I'll be at least 0.5kg heavier...so I'm not sure why MFP tells me I'll lose weight by eating over my calorie budget.
Any thoughts?
If you look at your TDEE on a fitness calculator, you are likely eating at a calorie deficit based upon your set point. Therfore, even though you are over what you have established as your daily calorie goal - you are still going to lose weight - especially with exercise and so forth.2 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, a dog walk and walking for myself, about 90 minutes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Happy Anniversary @crago3154 May you two have many more happy years together!
