March 10 & 11 looking good except for sodium on the 11th. Bp has been low-normal & I’m drinking lots of water so should be fine.

Thanks for the support everyone. This Corona virus thing has hit the Sunshine State. Kids are on Spring Break, theme parks have closed, colleges have moved to online classes, crazy lines at the SuperMarket. I had a bit of a binge last night ( pizza and chip with soda) but I will not be disappointed. A day at a time. I feel ok today. I will journal about it and let these feelings flow!!
Congrats everyone that has reached a goal this week.
Spending has been mostly groceries. I have plans to go out to dinner with neighbors so I will do a fast today and enjoy a nice meal with company, stay home this weekend and hang out with the kiddos.
Congrats @LoriAnna62 on you reaching your goals! @nebslp great idea not to go to that conventions. I wonder if we are getting the real number of cases by the CDC. Congrats @MadisonMolly2017 for having a perfect March 91 -

@MadisonMolly2017 It just keeps getting beautifuller and beautifuller!
@prgirl39mfp Good job! Glad you're feeling better today. One day at a time....0 -
@prgirl39mfp
Thank you & great job moving on/journaling!
”That’s the ticket!” If we can get right back up on the horse, usually there are no repercussions
@LoriAnna62 I love your goal! Isn’t it amazing how much we can get done with focus! I did something similar always back. Prioritized all those stressful desk jobs, and worked 15 mins a day on them. If I got blocked on one, I’d use the balance of the 15 mins on number 2. Got a ton done. I’m inspired by you to maybe do it again sometime this year0 -
Oh, @LoriAnna62, and thank you re: tracker. That’s the idea! But I’ve run out of space for the doodling LOL (The back has numbers on it that I watch)
I have to pull out another sheet of paper 😂0 -
I feel bad that I've been so absent here but my 8 year old grandson has kept me hopping all week due to no school. My son is home today and will take care of my grandson. His office has shut down and he will be working from home for 2 weeks for sure. There is a real concern there in that family. My son's daughter and wife left on a cruise with his parents-in-law last week Sat. and will be returning this Sunday to Florida, then flying to Nebraska. So I'm pretty sure they will be quarantined once they return and I don't know when they will all be reunited. This is a horrible crisis and I pray that you and your loved ones all stay healthy and safe. Please accept my apology if this isn't an appropriate topic.
@MadisonMolly2017 I love the tracker! Absolutely beautiful and inspiring:)
@prgirl39mfp Journaling is such a great way to sort out our feelings. I need to do more of that. I think sometimes I avoid it because it's hard to process some things. I always feel better after I do though. I hope you find it helpful at this time of uncertainty.
@LoriAnna62 and others who are working hard: Good job on your efforts and keep on keeping on! Let us know how things are going3 -
@MadisonMolly2017 Just keep pulling out those sheets!!! And be sure to share them so we can enjoy them too
And yes, I feel SO much better getting things done. Procrastination is a real drag, man.

@nebslp so sorry for what you are going through. It feels surreal. I live in FL and my husband works at the cruise ship port. The best they can do is quarantine. You need to be safe and the grandson too. Praying this passes without too many casualties.
I agree about the journaling. This week has been tough so I have avoided it therefore eating my feelings. I need to be more strict. Let me know if you do it and how your feeling once you do.2 -

I totally agree with @LoriAnna62 about all of the above⬆️. I might have known that guy back in the day😂😂😂
@prgirl39mfp It seems a lot of my journaling happens when I'm most upset about something which can be good in some ways. But consistent day after day journaling might help me see the whole picture better. I recently read through some of what I wrote over the past 25 years and I saw the same patterns and only one frustrating issue. I don't know how to tackle it and I'm afraid to try, and am not sure I really care any more and that made me very sad. I'm thinking of seeing a professional to help me sort this out.

@LoriAnna62 Awesome progress!!! You are tackling some tough things and are killing it! I like thinking of duties at a workplace. When I do that, I schedule 4-5 hours of work on various projects (11-4 or so) and take breaks every hour or when I move to the next project. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and pride for following through on my plan.
March 14 - I have officially met the 2 week mark of not eating any of the chips in the house (bag 3 is already waiting to tempt me But actually, once I made the decision to not eat them, there hasn't been the intense internal struggle I was expecting.
I have logged food and calorie burn every day since I started on March 3 and and have stayed under with my food calories, sometimes only by a few but sometimes by 400+ which is what I'm striving for. Mostly somewhere in between. It's the habit I'm trying to form, not perfect performance at this point.
I am going to get back into my morning routine again tomorrow and start with Instagram inspirations, then move upstairs to write out my plan for the day, then execute!
Weeks 3-4 I will increase my activity level so I can burn more calories so I can eat more food (LOL)!0 -
@nebslp I definitely went to school with him You are doing great on your challenges! Way to go! I agree - I do so much better with a disciplined plan. I like your idea of a "work day" of a set number of hours. Please keep us updated on your son's wife & daughter's situation.
We are all doing so well together. I'm really glad to be a part of this group. It helps SO MUCH to have support & accountability.
I'm wondering what happened to our fearless leader? Does anyone know what's up with @themedalist ?
Joining all of you in praying that Covid-19 is over quickly.

Hi Everyone! I’ve just been reading your updates and despite everything that’s going on around us, you keep plugging away and making progress. @MadisonMolly2017, your Habit Tracker is gorgeous! And it’s functional!
I’m doing OK...this is our reporting season so it’s pretty crazy until June. And, we’ll likely be switching to flex work in the coming days. I work at home a lot now anyways, but never indefinitely...we are certainly in uncharted territory.
I am doing well with my new habit this month, which is to put my phone away when I start to work at my computer. I love the peace and quiet of no interruptions! I can fully concentrate on what I’m doing. I use these monthly challenges as a way to test drive a change I want to make. Some of them just aren’t a good fit for me and that’s OK. But this one is! This one has got staying power. In fact, it might be my favorite habit so far!3 -

Great to hear from you! I know it’s uncertain times, but I also know how wise & strong you are!
I began leaving my phone behind when I go into my art studio (yes I can even call it that now 😁) my phone usage was down 21% in the past week due to that & my tracker which saves me a lot of time in here posting stats
I’m glad to hear it’s your favorite habit! Shows how much we love being able to focus!
Stay safe, my friend!

@MadisonMolly2017 love the new details and steady progress!
@themedalist good hearing from you. Thanks for the info. I will be checking it out tomorrow.
@LoriAnna62 take care of yourself! I hope you’re feeling better by now.
This has been another day of staying in a decent calorie deficit but activity hasn’t improved much. I did a Walmart pick up delivery today and LOVED it!!! only downside was I didn’t get any steps in but, on the plus side, I didn’t expose myself to anything sitting in my car waiting a few minutes unlike the hundreds of people going in and out with their carts. I wanted to do a PSA about the great pick up service they could have used. I’m telling all of my friends.
No chips yet and it’s day 18!!2 -
@nebslp What a great idea to use Walmart's pick-up service! I see their signs all the time, but I don't ever see anyone doing it. Way to go with the calorie deficit and no chips!!!
I'm feeling all better and getting back to work today. So grateful that they've found a cure for the virus!0 -
Hi all, sorry I haven’t been checking in.
My BIL passed away on Sunday afternoon. He had been in the board and care facility for a month and a half. It had been a good fit for him, and after he settled down, he was getting along with the caregivers and other residents. I’m so grateful that we were able to get him out of his home, into the hospital, and then into this wonderful board and care. On Sunday, he ate his lunch, lay down for a nap, and passed away in his sleep.

@LoriAnna62 I'm glad you're feeling better.
I'm not sure if I'm worried (I don't feel worried) or just sad because of 2 cancelled trips and another one to cancel if things continue to get worse, or just getting bored but I'm falling into the bad habit of staying up until 1 and then getting up in time to watch a couple of things on TV. Then there's a press conference every day about 10:45 that I watch so by the time I get going it's after noon. This has got to stop. I've also been snacking on pretzels and (grrr) I bought doritos and have had some of them. I haven't touched my husband's though or the peach pie that he made. I actually worked out today though. I have a wonderful online friend who is a certified coach and she is working with me and some others on a Facebook group. I think this is what I need to get me moving every day. I haven't left the place except for my Walmart pick up trip since March 6. Maybe that's what's wrong with me?!
Hobbies are hit and miss. I practice my guitar every day and am learning notes. I love it! It's so hard and so rewarding at the same time. I'm down to sewing 2 more seams and then I will be able to put the borders on the QOV quilt top I'm making. I just want to be done with it so I can do something else. I started a sashiko project so I'd have some handwork to do instead of my ipad playing and it's really fun. I traded photography study for photo organization but I would like to do both. I have time if I just use it wisely. I don't know which one is more frustrating
Anyway, enough rambles for today. Tomorrow for sure I'm going to check out the Tiny Habits. I got a notice in my email so I won't forget. I need to get my mojo back! Hope you're all staying healthy.0 -
OK. Yesterday I didn't know if I was worried or sad. Today I know I am both but I tend to minimize my feelings, therefore the increase in junk food eating. Good to know. This morning I got up, put the coffee on, and went downstairs and spent 15 minutes on my bike while watching a quilting video. Good start to the day. Joan from TrainWithJoan has a short workout video that she posted yesterday and I will be doing that this afternoon. I am going to try to use this time in isolation to making my house cleaner and my body leaner and learn a few things along the way, especially some things about myself and my response to change. I called all of my book club members to cancel this month's meeting and it was good to talk to them but hard at the same time. I think talking to others increases my fear. Let's use this time to get some workouts in and eat something really healthy for lunch. I'm having a lettuce and carrot salad with boiled eggs and cracker crumbs on top. Yum. Hope y'all ave a good weekend.0

@77tes I’m sorry to hear of your BIL’s passing & also glad it was peaceful & you all had him in a great place. 🌺🌸🌻1

@nebslp
Yes, there’s change, grief, fear, and extreme gratitude all wrapped into one!
I’m finding my habits are helping me with each day, and I’m 95%-99% of the time in good spirits. Worry & stress will only hurt my body & waste precious hours/days.
1. Each day, I walk/hike at least an hour- sometimes 2 hours in early evening minimum 10K steps
2. I learn something about art making
& I actually make some art
3. 3 meals w/optional snack
Water
>5 fruits/veg
Calories under calories out
Track all food
Cook etc
And I paused our cleaning lady (with pay), so I’m spending 1-2 hours deep cleaning and/or doing FINAL Marie Kondo purge in each room.
All of this keeps me occupied!
I don’t watch TV until maybe one show with my husband around 9pm. When I stopped working, I just decided no TV.
You are strong. You are doing this!
Consider drowning your chips/pretzels! Better in the trash than ...
Take Care,
Maddie0 -

All great with BMI decreasing except for 6 high salt days.

@MadisonMolly20 I love your affirmations! Today's is very appropriate as incubating is what will help with crisis abate sooner than later. I think what was getting me down was knowing it's the weekend and I won't get to see my grandkids for who knows how long. Seeing them on Facetime and waving to them from my car doesn't cut it. I need my hugs!!! I am going to start being their pen pals next week. I hope they will write me back.
I had been slacking off on Instagram but got into it again this morning and saw there is an upper body workout on there that I will try. I watched a couple of Joan McDonald workout videos on youtube and was inspired as usual. I got in a short weights session tonight and plan to do more tomorrow. I love the way I feel when I work with weights so that's good incentive to do it again, just have to be careful not to overdo at first. Exercise is definitely a mood booster. I wish it was dry and warm outside so I could go exploring again. It's too muddy to tromp around outside right now. I hope this finds all of you and your families safe and well.1
