Long day ahead.
Didn't sleep well....up early for EMG test. F/up with Ortho tomorrow. This better be the last of the tests!
Doc - good luck on your trek today.
Hold fast, men! This is going to be a long *kitten* show.

Good MoDrning!
Lee, continued prayers for your father, and for safe travel for you.
Dad is in the extended memory facility. They wouldn't even let us say good bye to him. They just whisked him away. I really hope that it is not a month or two before we can see him. They did promise to have cake and a celebration for him on Tuesday for his 89th birthday. I will call today to see how he did last night. He does not have the hearing or comprehension for me to try to talk with him on the phone.
Super, super busy at work. Trying to get product out. Wondering if we will have to shut production down for a while, worried about getting supplies and materials in. I know that we have to be patient, and a lot of businesses have it worse than us. These are just tough times that none of us have been in before.
Really getting soggy again here. Storms tonight. We are several inches ahead in the rain gauge again. Difference between last year and this year is not the problems with snow melt, but we'll have flooding again if the rain keeps up.
Have a great day!0 -
Happy Spring,
Should reach 84 today and humid, hate turning air on this early but don't yellow pollen in house. Have a couple clots in leg and getting harder to walk. Guess God's way of keeping me in.
Lee, you and your dad are in my prayers
Skip, pray they come to a good solution for back
Steve, it is very hard watching loved ones age and lose function; hopeful home can slow down process
Dave, beautiful piece

Mornin' gents.
Thanks fellas.
Dang, that must have been difficult, Steve. But probably necessary like ripping a band aid off. Hope you can see him soon. Did I miss you saying if the facility is closer to you than where he was living?
Nothing like getting tickled by an EMG. Have fun, Skip!
Time to turn on the AC, Sam?
Going into clinic to do some work before flying out this afternoon.
Dad is now on a respirator. Not looking good. Pulmonologist in charge of dad at the hospital reviewed all of dad's previous chest x-rays and is saying dad has had radiographic evidence of pulmonary fibrosis since 2016. Question is, did his doctor tell him this and dad just put his head in the sand, or did they miss it. Ugh. Don't want to go down that rabbit hole.
Got an hour layover at Dulles, during cocktail hour. Hope I'll be able to make my connection.

Up early today.. snow showers last night and now raining hard. Did a really nice hike yesterday afternoon around a forest preserve 1/2 hour away. 55º and sunny. No wildlife, but 4 dogs who wouldn't leave until they were sure I wouldn't give them my PB sandwich. Owners were 4 elderly folks.
I'm getting a cough... calling my doc later to see if I should get tested.
TP shortage in Massachusetts. DD on Cape down to 2 rolls with 2 kids.
Safe trip, Lee, and prayers for your dad...0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Hope the tests go well, Skip.
Prayers for your dads continue, Lee and Steve.
Hope it's just a cold, or allergies, Mike
84 and humid - in March. No thank you. We're lookng at 60 and sunny. We do have a lot of tree pollen, right now; the source of my runny nose and itchy eyes.
I got a call from the neurosurgeon I had an appointment with. They are trying to limit patient visits to the hospital. We discussed my MRI and, as expected, I have nothing operable going on. She didn't really have a good explanation of why I have pain, but is referring me to physical therapy for my lower back. I have lost a lot of my disk mass - she said she could clearly see why I am 1 1/2 inches shorter than I was in my prime. She said I would benefit from traction, stretching and strengthening. Sounds a lot like the advice Sam was giving me.
I do have to hread to the hospital today, anyway, to pick up prescriptions for Rita. We'll see how that goes.0 -
Dave, maybe one of those hang upside down gizmos would help. DS had back trouble big-time and started getting wonderful relief from it. PT may help a lot too. Ask them opinion...
We could call you Batman...0 -
Good Morning
Safe travels Lee. I hope all the connections work out.
Steve, I'm sorry how this had to play out. Its hard enough under normal circumstances.
Dave, I think pain management is a lot of guesswork and trial and error. The last 7 months has been mostly error here, though PT does help. Strange driving home from PT yesterday with a fairly empty freeway with the Shelter in Place. A new reality for a season but most people are cooperating. Not much today except for my exciting time out for a walk and trying to keep pain levels down while getting some things done. DW is applying for unemployment and will take a go at the supermarket to see what is available so we can replenish a bit and plan meals. Like many folks, we are working on how to pare down expenses as paychecks go away.0 -
