    Mornin' BBB.

DW is hooked on "The Tiger King". Funny, we noticed that domestic cat rescue folks aren't a whole lot different.

Praying for baby James to come home soon.

We did a neighborhood virtual happy hour and trivia night. It was hysterical and really demonstrated #unityofcommunity. Broke up some of the monotony.

    Lazy day ahead today.

Some papers to grade but all in all a quiet day.

    Good morning

I guess I’ll clean house this am. All the laundry is done. All the sheets changed. Last week I moved the bedroom furniture and cleaned under and behind it.

    I’ll see what’s on tv.

Late lunch or early dinner here and we’re ordering out. I’m needing a break from cooking. I might bake something though. Ha.

    I’ll cbl

    Morning BBB

No plans here. I am almost done scanning scrapbooks so might finish that up today.

Dad worked yesterday from 7am-9 pm. Unless it rains this will be his schedule for the next 5-6 weeks. Planting season is rough. I'm glad this is his last. I plan to bake some cookies today so he has a treat in his lunchbox. And I made lasagna last night the way mom used to ( with cottage cheese and mushrooms) so he has that for leftovers. When sister makes it for him she just uses mozzarella since her kids are picky.

    Good morning BBB crew.

Virtual church at 1030 this morning. DW and I will do our normal walk, after lunch. Then I plan to detail the inside of the car. If I get really picky, that will kill a couple of hours. I'm trying to stay out of the shop for a couple days. I'm running out of room to place small arty turnings.

It seems that lasagna has become more American than Italian, with everyone having a variaton they like. Rita runs cottage cheese, mixed with spinach and parmesian in the food processor, to layer with the noodles and red sauce, tops with mozzarella.

    Good morning

Prayers for Baby James continue, and for the parents, and family as well. That picture of momma holding baby with her mask on, was a tear jerker. Beautiful at same time.

Protesters here now lining the street on Sat.waving flags, no maks, standing shoulder to shoulder, protesting the extended stay order. Yikes. Organizing for a big one at the state capital soon, I'm sure they'll make national news, oh joy. And some police chiefs, county sheriffs saying they arnt going enforce the extended stay order...
I think if we could do a whole lot more testing and show those results there might be some better order to all this, either way???

Meanwhile, food donations are good here at the driveway. The boy scouts will pick up later.

My HOA pond project of outer rim cut back is done, and looks great!

Church online soon. The Mr is going to change the oil and sharpen the blade in the zero turn today. That's the big event here. I may paint some pots for some mothers day planter-flower orders I have. If it's not too windy. I'm spray painting and the one I did in the basement smelled up the entire house for 3 days. So outside is best!

Oh, we bought the pontoon yesterday! Theyll store it until we go to the lake. It's more a fishing style, which I didn't really want, but good shape, good price, still has a wrap around couch, but also 5 captain chairs, the driver, 2 up front, 2 in way back. A 20ft, 60hp Mercury 4stroke, It will be fine for us. Also an electric trolling motor including lifejackets, ore, anchors, bumpers, tie ups. Likely needs a new battery. So... I best learn to fish more!! I'm a nightcrawler, bobber type fisherwoman. Lol.

    Be well BBB

Well, if I make my family's fav then this Italian girl has to stick with my Nana (Philomena's) authentic recipe:

    Ricotta
    Mozzarella
    Romano
    Parmesan
The meat is either her recipe for meatballs sliced. Or Italian sausage. And her homemade sauce, since that's what you cook the meat balls in anyway. Back in the day, she made the pasta noodles too. What an ordeal!

Otherwise I do an American version using ground chicken or ground turkey and jarred sauce, but same cheeses.

Thank you, Sam ... that really means a lot. If you get a moment, check out my current post on Workplace. It's my jab at the system from the most positive slant that I could come up with.

Skip, where did you get the trivia questions? Were any particularly more fun than others? I'm looking at coordinating another Coach party and would love suggestions.

I get that cleaning, Kelly! I labeled the tops of my spice jars a couple weeks ago so that I don't have to pick them up to see what they are. #lifegoals

Lasagna sounds SO GOOD, Steph! You're a sweet daughter.

"Detail the car" -- great suggestion, Dave! I'll put that on my list for when it's just a few degrees warmer.

A pontoon! How fun, Mary! Do you remember Artie? We used to go pontooning with him and his wife (the one who passed away). That was always such a nice time! I kinda lost him at some point ... I assume I said something wrong when I was drunk, but I honestly have no idea. I tried to reach out once, after I got sober, but there was no response. I'm sure I was a jerk. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about doing that anymore!

James is improving slowly! His oxygen was cut back again yesterday. It had started at 2 L, and now is down to 1/2 L as of yesterday. There was a note on his crib this morning that said he was a "little piggy" last night and that he wet through to his sleeper. We're hoping that means he finally ATE! Before that, he'd hardly had any soiled diapers because he wasn't eating, other than what the feeding tube was providing. We're optimistic! The kids are there now, as they are every day as long as they're allowed. I'm waiting as patiently as I can for their update.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I pray for Sweet Baby James.
    • Watched streamed church service this morning and then a Zoom Sunday School class.
    • Learned our Senior Pastor is being reassigned and our Assoc. Pastor is stepping up.
    • We got all our flowers in the ground yesterday and they are loving today's rain.
    • It's amazing how detailing the inside of a car can make it new-like again (okay, better).
    • The rain is in the forecast for the next 24 hours. Now what do I do?

IT WAS A BLAST! We had 20 neighbors all logged onto Zoom and then the questions would pop up and you had 10 seconds to make a choice. It was a great "quarantine" game with neighbors for sure.

YAY Baby James! Poop is good!
