In the post above are the 3 big rules of the UAC.
The most important rule, the one that rules them all is 'keeping track of every caloric thing we ingest".
A couple of days ago, I broke that rule. Because I did not contemporaneously track my calories, I went over my limit.
Tracking throughout the day helps us to become more thoughtful about what we choose to eat and drink.

Exercised: Yes (7.5km walk in 65 mins - hills)
Tracked: Yes
Budget: Yes
Better day today than yesterday. Nice weather. Good to get out.
Echocardiogram tomorrow morning and then 24 hour heart monitoring with a holter monitor. Looking for the source of the branch arterial occlusion (mini-stroke) in my right eye that happened a few weeks ago.
So thankful for my amazing wife.18 -
Morning run and treated to a beautiful sunrise. Then a drive to collect fish. This ended up being longer than planned as I missed the turnoff from the freeway and we went about 40km too far. My copilot fell asleep and I want paying attention. She drove back! My watch considered this extreme exercise as my heart rate was in the 80% range (not the first time I've noticed this despite the fact that I feel very relaxed when driving). Evening Jiu Jitsu class and decent food choices give me another successful day.
Oh, don't forget the loading and unloading of 1 tonne of fish. Two of us unloaded it all by ourselves so that counts as weight training!11 -

Lately I quarantine - exercise with a friend using the same video, we chat all along on the phone with a Bluetooth speaker. It's a lot funnier this way9 -

I suffer with depression/anxiety and some days are worse than others. I've managed to keep on track but I am struggling to keep tracking here. I'm hoping that I'll be back on track tomorrow. I usually pig out when I get like this but the lockdown has left me broke so I can't afford to - every cloud has a sliver lining .15 -
Yes x 3

Well, I'm embarassed to say I need a pass today. I had a dear friend show up as a surprise with a Cinco De Mayo lunch, margaritas included. She brought it all, ice included! We had a lovely distant apart picnic. (In the garage with the woodstove for warmth.) I don't even know how to count those calories and I'm sure I went over. (We did however go for a 5 mile hike afterwards.) I was doing so good, but will get right back on track tomorrow.8

@onward1, you enjoyed time with a friend, and you went for a 5 mile hike. Usually "going off track" days involve negative emotions, and they definitely don't involve a 5 mile hike!! Tomorrow you will log your food again, with the track still firmly under your feet, and I am sure you will be extra vigilant to make sure you come in under your calorie goal!7 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. A solid 3.6 mile walk and my mini morning workout. Smashed my 10,000 steps by about 11 today. Currently at 13,384.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? My fitness pal says yes but I’m not sure because I had about 9 oz of strip steak for dinner and couldn’t find a consistent option. Each option was pretty varied on mfp. I did enjoy every bite of it though! I know I didn’t go over the amount of calories burned today, so I’m taking this as a yes. What are your thoughts on this type of situation?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yup!7 -
Yes times three.7

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, cleaned my car and gardened (pulled weeds and cut brush and limbs), about an hour total.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, barely
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YesWaiting for the results of a virus test, so I'm self-quarantined on my own property. It's difficult not to eat all day because the kitchen is right here, and also difficult to motivate myself to go outside and do something in my own yard. Way more interesting to walk/run somewhere else. I feel normal now. I think my symptoms were probably allergies.8 -

Exercise? Yes, a 31 minute walk.
Logged? Yes.
Under? Yes, but barely! I need to eat more high volume, low calorie foods because even though I am "under" I am hungry! It is all I can do to not scarf something down! It is just about bedtime so I might be okay....6 -
Pass #1
Intentional rest day. I did do a lot of walking around in 2 different pet stores buying necessities for my new kitty.
Should be able to bring him home next week.
I've never been a cat person, but....this little guy fell asleep in my lap, and, well.....!!! lol11 -

@onward1 - that sounds like an awesome time — and a hike? Now I’m embarrassed to say that if that were me, a hike wouldn’t have even been a thought, let alone a 5 mile hike! Kudos to you.
@Bill70sStrong - awwww, how nice.
