Missed an entire day. Balls to the wall busy.
I am writing the Reopening Strategic Plan for our Agency. WAY too many "what ifs/variables" and of course the lawyers are making my job near impossible with their hyperbole style of writing. Ugh.... Today is much the same.
One more day and I'll check out for ten days.....
Doc started me on Flomax....Where's this wonder drug been hiding? HOLY COW!!! One day - improvement!
Cheers,
Skip0 -
Good luck Skip. Hoping your surgery goes well, and look forward to seeing you after it's all done. I read our churches reopening plan and also the state rules for campgrounds, including proper steps for outhouse cleaning. (4 pages). I think the key is for it to be do-able and understandable by everyone involved. Doesn't matter what the plan says if people aren't complying. Lawyers should be hog-tied till this pandemic is over.
Hiked 4 hours yesterday over rolling terrain, although didn't get out till late afternoon. Nobody at all on the trails, although one empty car in parking lot. Great weather and more lined up for the next week.
Have a good one, everyone.0 -
Good Morning!
Skip, glad that you are finding some relief.
We had troubled skies last night, so I did not get the kayak wet. Meeting tonight (virtual), so perhaps this weekend. They are showing a chance of rain every single day for the next several days, but it won't be raining all day kind of thing.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
" Lawyers should be hog-tied till this pandemic is over."
Yep.
4 hour hike sounds glorious, Mike. Sorry you didn't get to yak, Steve.
Am going to try and get my fly line wet today. Appointment with Doc at 3:30 PM. Blood pressure down but still high after 5 days on lisinopril 20/hctz 12.5 .
Maybe BP will be lower after fishing.
Flomax. Used to see those commercials all the time.
Be OP ;-)0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
I empathize with your plan writing, Skip. I had that roll several times, in my Army career. The writer gets lots of helpful suggestions and non-binding guidance, which, even when not applied to the final product, allow others to grab a share of credit when things work out, and give an opportunity to critisize any shortcomings that arise in application of the plan.
I have been on Alfuzosin for years. I don't know whether it helps, or not. I rarely have to get up at night, so ther is that. Don't seem to suffer any side effects.
Good luck fishing, Lee. Are you taking your "wee boat" out?
The sun is out, now, but forecast is for showers. Cool, too, with a high of 58. Warm sun doesn't return until the middle of next week. Nobody doing much for Memorial Day Weekend, anyway.

Good Morning
Exciting times for you Skip and I can't say I am envious. Glad things are improving a bit healthwise until your surgery.
Have a relaxing time fishing Lee. Could be a natural approach to BP management.
I was up early to bake a couple dozen Lemon Blueberry Muffins for a staff meeting my wife is off to. Quite possible some won't feel comfortable eating them. But it is my way of welcoming them back even though most of them, like DW, are not needed at present. Cleaning and organizing today at a slow pace. I will try a walk if things go well.0 -
Good Afternoon,
Optometrist this morning, had to do one test several times and will have to go back Tuesday for same test again. seems meds I take can cause tunnel vision, wearing mask causes fogging of lens. Afterwards me and DW stopped by Aldi's then came home,
Bringing things in from car neighbors in living room and kitchen, seems DMIL started fire in microwave and house was full of smoke; all windows open and still stinks.
Change clothes and go to put in laundry room, DMIL had washer pulled apart; once again she had put too much detergent as well as wrong kind in washer and caused washer to not drain. I had to fix it earlier in week where she had used it; how could she have that many more dirty clothes. She messes up more than me and DW together yet I have to get on her for not changing clothes and wearing same thing for 4 days. Can't comprehend it.
House on St George confirmed for June 13th - 21st
Now what to do with DMIL, if we take her with us she will aggravate everyone and try and make everything about her; if we leave her here she could finish burning down house
Lee, I believe they owe you a larger cut
I have taken Flomax for several years it does come with side effects but overall life is better and can stop taking for a day or two then start back
Bill glad I don't live near you or I could be bigger than I am
