Congrats on the chess game win, Mike!
Yep exercising daily, Sam. 'Member I got dogs that expect a daily walk. Stress from work and family, I can't do much about other than just accept and move on.
Praying for your healing, Skip.

Did some laundry in a bucket yesterday while waiting for wash-dry-fold to come back. Things are still drying on a rack in the livingroom this morning. Remembering my aunts hanging everything on the back yard clothesline, and in winter my jeans coming in frozen stiff as a board.
DS and DIL are exhausted from only 4 hours sleep a night with new baby routine. With COVID situation and grandmas who work in risky health places and others self-quarantining there's nobody to hold the baby while the parents get some sleep. Looking into family leave covid law, might be a help because he's trying to work from home.
Off for an early hike while it's cool out. Getting into 80's today.0 -
Good Morning!
Hot in KC! Very humid. Yesterday, the A/C went out in the office, and it got up to 84 in my office. That simply wore me out. They finally got it going about an hour before close yesterday.
Mike, the PPP Emergency FMLA might be worth looking into. If an employee has to provide child care because of COVID, meaning that they cannot otherwise come up with child care due to quarantine rules, should qualify for 2/3 normal pay while caring for the child. That's the condensed version.
Prayers continue for Skip, Bill, Lee. I pray that the Lord will bless each of you in a powerful way.
Have a great day!0 -
Good Morning
High temps are back. Thankfully we don't do humidity here unless it is called fog. I get my knee juice injected today followed by a telemed appt with my Pain Dr. Somewhat optimistic about the former and not very about the latter. But at least I can get my prescriptions renewed and give him an opportunity to make some money.
Praying for Lee's BP to get less exciting and for Skips back to continue to progress. Mostly praying for our country.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
It was great getting out in the mountains, yesterday. The hike I chose was a bit shorter (11.6 miles) but with more climbing (2,500 feet) and that came mostly in a couple of big climbs over a relatively short distance. Good workout for the old glutes.
Have to laugh at the problem of new parents with no one to help care for the baby. Isn't that just normal life? We had no one to help when our son was born in Germany. My DW handled the middle-of-the-night stuff on my work nights, and I did it the rest of the time. Part of the parental experience, isn't it?0 -
Didn't post a photo, earlier, because I hadn't downloaded from my camera. Here is where I ate an early lunch, perched above the Duckabush River.

Little ones are very tiring, that's why God gives them to young folks
I would get very little done in a hot office.
Stress from work where working for someone else, do what you can then let them bring someone else in if they need to; DO NOT let it get to you!
Praying for pain relief for Skip and Bill
Went into Atlanta for doctor appointment this morning, disgrace what protesters have done to Atlanta, have found nearly 50% are from out of state, plus what can Atlanta do about what happened over a thousand miles away.

Good Morning
Ahh the middle of the night baby sessions. I smile as I remember, but I don't miss them. I had good medical appts yesterday. Knee injection went well as it should, just need to take it easy this coming week and I actually had a constructive discussion with the Pain Doc trying to figure out a path forward. I pushed back and asked a lot of questions since talking directly to him is rare. He changed his original plan in response to my comments and questions. We kicked off our Virtual Dulcimer Music Festival with an online door prize raffle last night. First of my 6 workshops start at 6am with concerts tonight. The Dulcimer community is pretty excited with 7 countries participating despite the time changes. 6AM in California, 9AM in NY, 2PM in London and 11pm in Australia. I was ducking out early for today's local march but DW reminded me that I am supposed to be resting the knee as much as possible. Great conversations going on though.0
