Mornin' BBB.
Excellent advice on the graduation gifts, all. I think Lou's scale of gifting is reasonable. I have one boy who is no relation to me but parents are good friends and have spent many hours in the woods with hunting birds and deer and he has even cooked me breakfast. He is almost like a son (love this kid). He definitely on the high end of the scale. My grand nephew on the other hand, maybe no fault of his since he has been raised in Houston, I have never had a conversation with. Will probably send him $50 card. Me extended family is kind of *kittened* up.
How is professorial duties going, Skip? How's the pool?
DS#2 is home. Recent grad of Brooklyn Law. Waiting to take the NY bar and start clerkship. Kid hasn't had a haircut in a while. (Sigh) I used to have hair like that. We had a celebratory martini last night and burned some ribeyes when I got home. First time I have seen him since early February.

Morning~
Still catching up on emails and ancillary duties. Today, begins half days on computer.
Got out for a walk yesterday. What hurts most is leg. Its like it won't respond. Painful most around hip and upper thigh area. Everything I read says "this too shall pass."
Pool hardscaping should wrap up today. Its starting to look pretty nice. With that, we should get plaster soon - followed by water. Getting close(r)......
Congrats to DS#2! Amazing feat! How's DS#1 making out in SERE? Any news?
CBL.

Good morning BBB Friends.
- Please pass on my congratulations to DS2 Lee.
- Hopefully the walking will help the leg Skip.
- Our Boys Nation staff, which is not getting together this year, had a Zoom meeting last night. It was good to see everyone and catch up.
- Got the motorcycle out yesterday and rode some roads on my "todo list". Sam, had lunch at Farmview Mkt in your 'hood.
- Sam lives in a neat old Southern town complete with antibellum homes and a town square. Sherman spared it on his march to the sea. Rumor has it that Sherman's West Point room-mate was from Madison.
- Lets hope the craziness gets a little less crazy today.

Morning all
Taking boys home this morning then getting a few things in town. It's about 2 hours away so we will likely not be home before supper.
Had a lovely lightening storm last night. And a little rain. Wind went from 8 to 47 mph almost immediately. It was crazy.0 -
Good morning.
Huzzah for DS2, Lee!
I'll bet Jesus is glad Kelly's gift recommendations weren't in play when he got out of high school.

Lou and Kelly, you guys make me laugh out loud.0

Congratulations to DS2 Lee!
Seems Lou's gift guide is about where I fall as a giver.
Lot offer still standing, septic inspection is only contingency and shoul happen any day now, the earnest money is in, closing date set. Azzhat neighbor asked ds1 where he stacked up and he told him sale price, sigh. I am so annoyed Im fit to be tied. Its not a done deal, stop talking to him. Stop talking to my kids. Says, well you guys did quite well for yourselves then.... Go away and live over on your side of the lines now. I may go off on this guy yet. Has no clue the history, the emotion, the loss, the heartbreak, the work and effort put into this. Mind your own business and leave it alone! Its been hard enough, and you hazzhats have only made a hard situation even harder on these young men sellin off the very last of their father. geezzz. back off before I give you a peice of my mind! How dare you make them chase you off their land and hope for more than the half price you wanted them to think the land was worth last year. Yeah now I am fuming. I told ds1 and ds2 STOP TALKING TO THEM NOW! NO MORE INFO, IT IS NOT A DONE DEAL TIL IT CLOSES. He should be talking to the realtors, not you !
Okay, so lets all have a great day and show love and peace to our neighbors! oxoxox

Good morning BBB crew.
Let 'em have it, Mary.
I'm just a cheap old coot, I guess. For me, unless it is someone I am truly close with HS graduation is worth a card and nothing more. What's the bah humbug equivalent for June?
I'm noticing an interesting demographic shift on my hikes. In the past, most of the hikers I encounter on my mid-week hikes are roughly contemporary to me: people in their 60s and 70s. Now, everyone I see is in the younger crowd: 20s and 30s. The younger people aren't working, so they head out for a hike. The old folks are fearful of leaving their shelter and being exposed.0 -
Had to drive into Atlanta for doctor appointment, a real disgrace what these rioters have done to property. 4 police cars burned in officers driveways. One officer's neck cut with knife and two others shot. Because of district attorney running for office again bringing charges against 4 additional officers surrounding police departments that were helping in Atlanta have pulled out. So far nearly 50% of those arrested are from out of state.
Lee, CONGRATS to DS2, long hair is coming back (I've only had one haircut this year)
Skip, pool making progress; hope complete for 4th celebration
Mary, lay low you don't buyer to be scared off because neighbors are *kitten*.
2 hours to shop, helps one not buy lots of stuff not required.0 -
Good evening
25 flights of stairs today. I’m pooped
Lou, ha. Jesus knew what I would’ve given him anyway since he knows all!
And, obviously Dave agrees with my
Gift. Ha.
Go Mary. Sure hope it’s a done deal
I’m telling you. It’s sciatica. Pinched nerve. Glad pool is shaping up. We got in ours last night. Perfect temp.
Lee, congrats to ds2
Steph, funny how some people work hard and others sit and work very little. Ugh.
Sam, has to be frightening sights. So sad.
Dennis, glad you were able to keep the rubber side down!!0
