Up early today. My sourdough starter revived over the last week and I mixed a bread recipe last night. Put in fridge and letting rise now. Put remaining starter in fridge for future. Have never baked much of anything before.
Steve, thanks for tip on FMLA. It’s their 1st child and DS sounded like he is at wits end from sleep deprivation.
Lee glad your boat got wet. Always nice to be out on the water.
Dave, that river looks beautiful. Must be glacial runoff with that color water?
I got out Thursday and hiked, almost got heat exhaustion. Did an 8 mile loop and got a late start, so temps got into mid 80s and walking on some sunbaked roads. Stopped in shade, cooled off feet in reservoir (don’t tell Boston residents) and refilled water bottles.0 -

Where I had lunch and recovered from woosie headed nausea from foolishly hiking in the heat.2 -
Mornin' gents.
Getting there. Going in to work.
Skip, how's your PITA?

Good Morning
I checked in yesterday, not sure where it went. I had a great day yesterday at the Quarantune Dulcimer Festival. 2nd day kicks off in just over an hour. I only have 4 workshops today which is good. My back is really feeling all the sitting at the instrument I did yesterday for the 6 workshops I attended. I will have to stretch, ice & TENS during one of my breaks to keep things at bay. I didn't hear back from the Pain Drs Office to schedule my procedures. I will have to call on Monday.
Skip, I am praying things settle down and healing progresses uneventfully.0 -
Good Morning!
Heat warning in KC this afternoon. Hot, humid, with "feels like" expected well over 105 this afternoon. It seems too early for that!
Final dog training at 2:30 this afternoon. Frankie has been responding well. We just have to keep it up with her, and we will see progress.
Chores this morning. The upside is that I got May completely closed in less than five days this month. That's just awesome! 79 more month ends to go, but the only reason I know that is because I am a trained accountant.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Today is D-Day. My junior high Sunday school teacher went ashore with the first wave on Omaha Beach.
Always got a kick out of the fact that June 6 is also our son, David Jr.'s birthday. We're celebrating at our house. Rita spent a lot of time preparing the outdoor dining area on our back deck. Wish we had a little of your weather, Steve. The high for us, today is forecast at 58. I suspect we'll be eating indoors. The ribs will go in the smoker around noon, for a 5 p.m. supper.
There is a small glacier near the headwaters of the Duckabush River, Mike, but is is inactive. That green color, I suspect is due to the light reflected from the surrounding forest, The water is incredibly clear.

Sure I posted yesterday, don't know where it went.
Early voted yesterday, no lines in and out in a few minutes
Very HOT and HUMID today but rain should hold off till Monday
Ribs sounds good, enjoy family
79 month ends will pass way too fast
Bill and Skip, hope pain subsides
The more time one takes to play the less stress in life provided they have done what they can
Mike, great picture; good thing I have not gotten into baking would be larger than I am0 -
Gents
I posted today too. Disappeared.
Bill - I’m getting there. Sciatica nerve flaring up bad. Hope this is temporary.
SGM - enjoy the birthday celebration. Those boys who went into Omaha are true heroes. Hand salute in their memory!
Pool is another week from being ready. Looking forward. It’s been hot and muggy here.
Cheers
