Up and out early yesterday to hit the salt with an old fishing buddy. Got out just after day break and it looked promising, then the wind kicked up (not in the forecast) and blew us off the water. Tried looking for fish up in protected areas but the tide wasn't right. So came in early. This morning, got reports that the wind died down about noon, and fishing improved. They say timing is everything...
We didn't get skunked. Buddy caught an way undersized striped bass in shallow water off a protected salt marsh.
Good to get out even if it was a bit of a bust.
Hope nerve pain is improving. I wonder if gabapentin would help.
Glad the ribs came out as desired and you got GKs to boot. Sounds wonderful.
Did you get your hike in, Mike. I prefer a denser sourdough. Is the trick to just shorten the rising time?

Morning~
Gonna do some half days on computer and try to be productive. Still quite uncomfortable. Wearing the brace while sitting is not ideal. Meet doc on Wednesday for f/up will see how that goes.
Cheers for a quiet day.

Good Morning!
Skip, hang in there! praying for complete and rapid recovery.
Lee, I'm glad that you were able to get your boat wet, even if the fishing was a bust. We are going to break our early summer heat wave tomorrow, and then have a week in the low-mid 80s. I plan to get my kayak wet one evening this week.
Have a great day!0 -
Good Morning
I second thinking about Gabapentin. I was often bedridden 4 years ago from nerve pain. It was Gabapentin that got it under control. I am still on a max dosage to keep it generally minimal.
Off for blood work this morning for a physical at the end of the month. Then I need to follow up with the Pain Doc's office about who is supposed to contact me about scheduling the treatments discussed last week. Other than that still taking it easy as requested for the knee. Lots of stuff to do around here including some music and some reading.
Lee glad you got out. Some more of that can only help with BP0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Skip, I am so sorry you continue to suffer pain and discomfort. Praying for you, buddy.
Enjoyed having the grandkids over. A return to a bit of normality.
Should be ok weather, today - 60s and partly cloudy - so I'll mow the lawn. Rain for most of the week.0 -
Good Afternoon,
Praying for pain relief for all
