Yesterday was a bust, heading out this morning to paddle while DS swims on small spring-fed lake. Haven't seen him since lock-down began.
Have debated with 3 sons now about the CDC's guidance on COVID-19 transmission on surfaces. They say CDC now thinks can't get it from surfaces, I say that was fake news and CDC was just clarifying degree of risk, there is still risk. Germs don't care where they came from.
Skip, heal up there, man.
Lee, too bad no fish to fry. A bad day on the water is better than a good day at work, as they say.
Have a good one.0 -
Good Morning!
Mike, enjoy your time with your son!
We are expecting some storms tonight, and then cooler weather for the rest of the week.
I know that there are large parts of the economy that are way down, and we are officially in a recession. Where I work, manufacturing electric fencers, our business is up, and we are having challenges meeting demand right now. Farmers are not as beat up as they have been the last couple of years with flooding, etc.
Bill, Lee, Skip, keeping you all in prayer for aches, pains, and healing.
Have a great day!0 -
Oops,, supposed to say June 9th...
Don't really know how to get denser sourdough, Lee. My first adventure with the stuff. There is an overabundance of advice and tip on the internet on sourdough, though. Could become a PhD just reading all about the tricks and techniques... who knew?! Mine tastes pretty good, but found eating too much can give indigestion...0 -
I agree with you, Mike. Fomite transmission, although low risk, still possible. I would still wash my hands. The AVMA still is recommending wearing gloves when technicians are taking and delivering pets to owners in the parking lot.
Statements on the virus are dumbed down for the non medically trained masses. So while the airborne virus inhaled is the primary way to spread the contagion, it doesn't mean you shouldn't still be careful about touching possibly contaminated surfaces and then touching your face.
I think retail is the hardest hit part of the economy. Sadly, a local boutique Cinema House announced it is closing for good. It was struggling in good times.
My practice was a little slow for the first two weeks of the shutdown, but we our schedule is booked out two weeks now.

Morning~
Sciatic had me up most of the night. Tried cool packs; heating pad; some topical; just couldn't get it to settle down. Still a little painful this morning. Called out and will see surgeon for 2 week follow up tomorrow and hopefully get some idea what's going on.
COVID restrictions have lifted (phase 2) around here. I don't see people taking this serious. I'm still on the side of wear a mask; avoid contact; and antiseptic spray on hands after everything.
Steve - hope the storms are minimal.
Cheers,

Good morning gentlemen.
Got the lawn mowed, yesterday; it's raining today. Furnace is still running at night. Summer still has not come to Puget Sound.
Hope they have something helpful to tell you, Skip.
Our state has a four phase easing of restrictions. It is being applied county-by-county. Where I live is in Phase 2. There are still many restrictions. Some retail stores are able to open, if they can limit numbers of customers, etc. Most have chosen to wait it out until Phase 3.0 -
Good MOrning
Not a great one yesterday but today is a new one. I am getting ready to do surveys on the homeless who have been sheltered in SF during COVID. I am part of a group that helps provide support while they are stuck inside. I need to reread the survey info and start working the phone so we can get hold of everyone. I still need to get hold of my Pain Docs office to get scheduled for treatments discussed.
Skip I hope the Dr has some answers for you.1
