Up early for 8a appt to meet with ortho doc for 2 week follow up. The bruising around incision is still quite horrible - shades of black and blue you cannot fathom.....the bigger issue is the *kitten* sciatica that now flares up at 2a. every morning and there's just no beating it. I throbs and prevents you from getting any sleep. Ugh. I am hoping for a steroid shot or something today.
Pool guys are on site. Plaster and quartz going in today. I believe they will fill today too.
Lots of moving parts.
CBL.

Good Morning!
Well, they advertised that we'd get two rounds of storms last night. Both missed us, and we have .01 inch of rain in the gauge. I guess that I might get to water the garden tonight or tomorrow. It is going to be 20 degrees cooler today, and just very nice the rest of the week. I also plan to get my kayak wet in the next few days.
Work has been extremely busy. We have a two week backlog right now in orders vs production inventory. Our solar powered fencers are all 19 gauge sheet metal stamped. We use two large metal presses from 1911, and several smaller presses to make the metal cases. The supervisor that runs the metal shop and paint shop is also the building maintenance manager. Lets just say that he is not the best manager of people, and so we keep getting behind on production. It can get frustrating. I wish the company president would push him harder.
I listened to the most boring webinar ever yesterday afternoon. Seriously, I had to stand up, and at one point go out to get some more water, as I was falling asleep at my desk. The office manager was also in my office, and I saw her nodding off at one point too. NAFTA is ending on June 30, to be replaced by USMCA (US, Mexico, Canada). As we ship 15%+ of our product to Canada, this is an important change for us.
I took a break from the treadmill this morning. With more time, my post is a little wordy this morning. Sorry about that!
Have a great day!

Morning men.
Skip, hope your doc can help you there and figure out what’s going on. It sounds awful, hoping for some relief.
Glad I don’t have to worry about production deadlines and month ends anymore.
Cool weather here, especially in mornings at least. Yesterday morning I Paddled alongside DS who swam for 20 minutes or so. Afterwards I took him to a trail nearby and we hiked about 45 minutes alongside a river. Nice to see him finally. His transplant doc says their liver patients who caught COVID have all been mild cases or asymptomatic. Maybe because the immunosuppressants prevent cytokine storm?
Heading out for a hike and then grocery pickup at curb of Walmart.0 -
Interesting theory on immunosuppressive therapy interfering with inflammatory component of COVID-19 infection.
Great to hear he is doing well and you got to see him.
LOL at the snooze-fest webinar, Steve. Almost as bad as waterboarding.
Hope you find a solution to the 2 am flood of pain, Skip. Yer and me dad would just say to rub some dirt on it.
Be OP ;-)

Good Morning,
Lee, BP still in good range?
Mike, glad you got to see DS and spend some time together,
Skip, hope you get some relief today
Steve, need to schedule recreation time just like work,
Bill, hope pain doc has plan that works,
Where has Bob been?
Some webinars want to reach in and drag words out of presenter plus folks are so concerned about being seen having to ask questions that were covered or had been answered several time previously. Believe limits should be set to max of 30 minutes.
Another HOT WET day0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Hope the doc has something for you, Skip. Looking forward to pics of the full pool, too.
Glad your DS is doing so well, Mike.
Ins and outs of small manufacturing operation are interesting, to me, Steve.
More cool rain, today. June is being pretty unremarkable, weather-wise, up here. Hope things get better.

Good Morning
Skip, I hope the Dr has some answers and a response to nerve pain. Intense nerve pain is beyond description. Makes you want to cut body parts off.
Good news on your son Mike.
I called the Pain Drs office yesterday to see what's up and had to leave a message. Still no response. DW is leaving for our Nephews rescheduled wedding in Madison Wisconsin. Not the best idea out there but.... She's going in for a nose swab test on the way to the airport and then we will need to monitor for 2 weeks. Her work may require her to quarantine for 2 weeks when she gets back which I think is wise. I will self isolate.

Doc visit went well. Xrays were promising - showing progress. Cortisone shot for sciatic - he said that should improve as swelling and bruising subside over the next few weeks. Like clockwork - 2a - that sucker flares up!
Can begin PT in another 6 weeks.
Plaster is going in now. Hot and sunny out - so thats good. Water should arrive later today.
Those nose swabs are PAINFUL! I had to do it twice for pre-surgery clearance. Ugh.0
