A sunny but downright chilly morning here, 50°.

DS cancelled on swimming but I was already in the car and had my canoe on, so I went for a drive and did an early morning hike, then stopped to check out a new-to-me trail network and finally ended up at Miller’s River, where I paddled and poled till late afternoon. Had lunch at King Phillips Rock, a giant boulder where native Massachusetts tribes met up in 1600’s. Lots of herons and beavers.

My sourdough starter survived a week in the fridge, will attempt another bread recipe today.

    Congrats to Dave and Rita.

What a great photo, Mike! WOW!

UP most of the night. Sciatica is flaring. Cortisone didn't last long. Pretty uncomfortable all night - couldn't get comfortable. Gave up trying to sleep. Up early to meet the irrigation guy to get the back yard redone. Pool team supposed to be hear later to get the pumps started and shock the system. WITH LUCK - I'll be enjoying a Miller in the pool by late afternoon!

    Cheers,
    Skipper

    Good Morning!

Happy belated anniversary to Dave & Rita, and to Bill and Heather. That is so awesome, and I wish you many more happy years together.

Bill, and Skip, I am sorry about your back pain. I will continue to hold both of you in prayer.

Hot again in Kansas. I have a lot of yard work to do. Trying to figure out when that will be done.

Mike, fantastic picture. And the history of the place. Wow!

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Sounds like a great day, Mike. Funny, I was reading about King Philip's War just last week.

    Hoping for back relief.

Cortisone has always let me down, too.

Our forecast high is 57, Mike, with rain. Sigh.

    Good Morning

Miller in the pool this afternoon sounds good, though I might upgrade the Miller. I might try a 10 minute walk and see how the knee does after taking it easy all week. Baking a cake today, doing some laundry and ? Very exciting.

    Evening gents.

Sorry about the nerve pain flare, Skip. Did you all discuss gabapentin?

Bloody MacKenzies and grilled flank steak for dinner.

    Be OP ;-)

I forgot to ask about gabapentin. He blew it off as “this too shall pass.”

    I’ll ask Neuro on Friday.
