Never got out yesterday, other than getting the mail. Kept falling asleep every time I sat down; probably catching up from getting up so early lately. And today I "slept in" till 6. My goal is to get up pre-dawn so I can be out and hiking by sunrise, which is 5:10 these days. I should just set my alarm and do it.
Lee, I sympathize with the stallion among too many mares there. Steve, hang in there at work. These are strange times and will be struggle to get through them, but this will pass. Dave, really nice picture of mountain solitude; I can see why you go.
Starting out 65º and humid here into mid-eighties later today. Time to make my coffee...

Good Morning!
Run on the TM this morning kicked my rear, but in a good way. So far, still injury free. This morning's run was interval runs of 4x5 minute runs with 1 minute walk between. This was in the hills of northern Morocco. I ran 2.25 miles with 249 feet of elevation gains. There are not hills like that in Kansas!
Today is Friday! One more day, and then 5 days off. The President and the production manager are both off today, so I will likely spend some time on the floor today. I like that.
Dave, I'm still trying to get Connie out to the PNW, but after 30 years, I'll still keep trying. Remember that my mom grew up in Corvallis, OR, so we used to go out there every other year or so for vacation. Beautiful country!
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
LOL, not sure if you can call me a stallion anymore. More like a gelding.
Heat dog training really kicked my patootie yesterday. Dehydrated in spite of drinking water. Good news is I lost 3 lbs. Bad news is its probably coming back.
BP is good all day long on once daily lisinopril 20mg/HCTZ 12.5mg in PM.
Cool that you have a special lunch log, Dave. Gorgeous views.
Nice shot of the beach Sam.
So good that the TM is being such a good work out buddy for you, Steve.
Be OP ;-)0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Good news on the BP, Lee.
Does your treadmill include video, Steve? Next step would be VR goggles, so you really feel you're there.
I get up with the sun, too, Mike, but never with an alarm, except on the rare occasions I really want to get going early - generally to go fishing or head out to a distant trailhead.
Sore toe from my most recent hike. I need a new pair of hiking shoes, but won't be able to buy them until our local REI opens up. I won't buy shoes online. I need to try them on.0 -

Enjoy time off Steve

Good Morning
Lee, glad to hear your BP was stable, given the physical stress you experienced.
We are actually planning on moving to Oregon in a couple of years or so when my wife stops working. We will trade the two-story townhouse in for a single-story home and we want to stay in some proximity to Ocean and mountains. It is part of our financial plan. We won't mind trading the summer heat for cooler temps. The rain will be the challenge for us. We only average 15-20 inches a year.
Quiet day ahead. Back is now somewhat stable at a manageable level of discomfort. Temps are cooling so I will get out for a 10 minute walk for the knee, do my stretching and make a bunch of phone calls for my Miracle Friends volunteer work which is ramping up and get some housework done.1
