Morning~
Up and off to see ortho this morning. Likely another round of injections.
Hoping for some lounge time in the pool later.
Lee - hows DS's survival training going? He must be close to finishing?
Hows the back to day, Steve?
SGM - hope you had a nice hike with kids yesterday!
Cheers, Men!

Good Morning!
Skip, I hope that your appointment goes well. Enjoy the pool!
My back is still a little sore, but I'm going to wait for my regular chiro appt on the 7th. I'm not going to run, but just walk. I keep fighting it, hopefully this time, I can just get into a comfortable groove walking, and not try to run and anymore.
I cooked my first food on the new smoker last night. I had a Marie Calendar's berry pie in the freezer, so I baked it in the smoker. Awesome! I'll cook my first meat out there on Saturday.
Speaking of cooking.... Yesterday, the "feels like" temps were near 100. Going home from work, on I-70 in rush hour traffic, my car started to overheat. I pealed off the interstate to a local state highway. I stopped for a few minutes to try to cool down the engine. I thought that I might limp it to the garage near home. Nope, went about 1/2 mile, and it overheated again. I called AAA, and I called Connie to come rescue me. Very warm waiting. I got the car towed to the garage, and when I talked with the garage owner, my neighbor, he didn't know if he'd be able to get to it today or not. I'm happy that he is busy, but I would like to have my car this weekend. Connie does not really like me driving her car. I will be taking the old truck to work today. It has 2x70 air (2 windows down at 70 mph).
BTW, my 2015 Chevy Cruze only has 97K miles, but still it knows that I only have three payments left. Sigh....
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Had a great time hiking with DS and DDIL, yesterday. I pooped out a little before my planned turn-around. My hip was really bothering me. Still, we made it to a high pass, with incredible views. Covered 15 miles, with just under 3,000 feet of climbing.
Here's a view along the trail, in the Buckhorn Wilderness.

Awesome picture Dave. Hope you get that hip figured out and doesn't become an issue for your hikes. Steve, you might be able to some running, now and then instead of every day, for a short time period. Or, walking can give same cardio impact (and stress relieving) if its uphill steep enough. Skip, good luck at the doctor's.
I was able to walk 3/4 mile yesterday and this morning I did 1-1/4 miles hiking. Will shoot for 2 tomorrow and if no pain in foot will assume the plantar fasciitis is under control. Still trying to get together with DD and 3 GKs for a local hike, now that school (online) is over for them. DD is still finishing some college courses she's been doing to get teacher certification; end of next week we'll probably hike.
Made sourdough waffles yesterday, had 2 for supper, froze the rest. Have to be careful with baking...this could scuttle any weight loss dreams.

Good Morning
Dave, that is what I call social distancing. So beautiful, Thanks for sharing.
Turns out the big Safeway by us isn't set up yet for curbside pickup despite the website offering it. Ended up having to go in the store to get someone to help and eventually left without my groceries. They found them 5 minutes later. Working on getting my refund. Ortho is happy with the knee response to the fluid injection. I don't know how much longer I will be able to put off getting the knee done though. Some housework and laundry today. Exciting.0 -
Dave, awesome views! I hope that you get your hip figured out.
Mike, thanks for the encouragement.
Bill, my late father-in-law was the pasteurizer in KC for Safeway for decades. He was "famous" for being the one that made the egg nog at Christmas time.
Where's Lee?
Have a great day!0 -
Ugh, Steve! 3 payments and it breaks down!
AWESOME photo's, SGM!
I believe the good DVM Doc is at a competition in VA this weekend. Spotty cell service.
Hoping to raise a glass with him on Sunday.... We'll see if the schedules work out.

Good Afternoon,
Beautiful vista, also great having time with DS and DDIL
Hope injections help and you get some relaxation time in pool
Mike, continue to ice foot each night even though not hurting especially after hike or long walk.
Steve, hope overheating is something simple and not costly; could be split reservoir, hose or thermostat
Yard edged and cut, front porch washed where birds believe it's their toilet
DMIL just got up, can't understand someone sleeping till afternoon0 -
Just amazing Dave! Stay safe and healthy all!0
-
Sam - my DMIL is the same way! Gets done with SS's and rolls out around 1p. Insane.0
