Sam, just read your soliloquy on history from July 4th. All true. I don't remember you ever saying that you were 50% Creek native American. You are probably not an Andrew Jackson fan, neither am I anymore since finding out how he treated native Americans. You are probably familiar with the saying "Lord willing and the Creek don't rise." Many don't realize "the Creek" refers to native Americans and not the stream of water.

    Foggy and humid this am.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Morning!

We saw a pack of skunks in our yard again last night. Ugh! I was amazed when first, I saw them all travel as a single group (mamma and babies), but how fast they are! They went across our acre, the neighbors, and across the street still going in just a few minutes. I wish they would stay gone, but they have been hanging around our yard for a few weeks now.

It is still way too hot and humid. No relief for weeks to come according to the weather dudes.

House painting starts today! We last had it painted 10 years ago. It was not done well then. We have a well known professional company coming this time.

MADD board meeting tonight after work. Donations and activities are WAY down. Drunk drivers are up. Frustrating that with so many bars closed with COVID that there is still an increased activity in driving impaired.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Heading for the mountains, this morning. I am going for my first hike of the year in the Cascades, on the east side of Mount Rainier National Park.

    Good Morning

    Enjoy the Rainier's backside Dave.

I have got a company coming out from Lazy Boy to see if they can repair my beloved recliner. I have a couple of conference calls today but that's it. I continue to make progress on my back and knee and just hit 7 consecutive days of 15 minute walks as I follow the build it back slowly advice I was given. I never thought I would celebrate that. Life goes on.

Bill, keep on keeping on, as they say. Or, slow and steady wins the race. (Nothing ventured, nothing gained? A bird in the hand... Too many cooks...)

Dave, enjoy the hike. I'm getting out every other day, hiking, walking or paddling, or at least that's my minimum goal. Big obstacle is getting stuck in my chair in front of TV.

Paying bills today, and have to get my 2019 taxes done. May venture under the sink to replace a dripping faucet--doing the washers didn't help and the sink is probably original from 1972. Have to make sure the holes all line up before I start disassembling. Steady drip is like Chinese water torture.

    Have a good one.

    Good Afternoon,
    Happy Humping!!!
As coronavirus continues I see less and less worth watching on TV
Purchased paint for master bedroom and bath, will start prep tomorrow including patch and repair from roof leak and plan of start painting next week. I hate painting.
Believe black lives matter agenda long term will backfire on them, I'm seeing many who were sympathetic earlier on getting tired of destruction and damage as well as crime increasing.
And there is not a Native American month and until 60's unless they denounced their heritage were not considered U. S. citizens; but they were drafted back during draft. Yes Lee I have learned many of my health concerns tie back to Creek Indian heritage.
Hope you have a great hike Dave,
Staying active is generally good for body and mental stability but one must learn to balance for their individual body. All parts of body can heal self given time except for teeth per many so called experts.
Folks addicted to alcohol will get it and drink whether restaurants and bars are open; plus most bars have people trained to identify when someone has had too much to drink; home get together do not pay attention or know how to identify when someone has had too much and sometimes alcohol does not kick in till one starts home.

Sam, sorry that your Creek genetics are problematic for you. I did not realize that the Creek had such health issues.

Growing up in Oklahoma, I developed an good picture of how raw a deal Native Americans received. The Trail of Tears was just a drop in the bucket.
