Day off. Dealing with remnants of Fay. Not a good time to take a small boat out on LI Sound.

Guess I will have to organize garage and man cave.

    Be OP ;-)

Ate my first three ultra-early tomatoes and waiting for more to start turning color.
My secret to riding my bike Steve is that I have more than one bikes and the climate here is mild enough to ride year round. I still have studded snow tires on my more clunky hybrid which I have been too lazy to change out with covid. I would have changed them out sometime in March but I don't shop by bike right now with covid.
Hope all are feeling better. I overdid it with my knee a couple of days ago (yet again) and am really backing off for now.

    Good Morning!

Dave, congratulations on the pants NSV. That's awesome!

Taking the dog to the vet this morning for routine exam. We leave her in the morning, and pick her up sometime mid-day.

Chores this morning, and then I'm not sure about the afternoon. Highs temps have been in the 90s for weeks, and this next week will be no different. Low 90s this weekend, they say we could hit 100 by the end of the week coming.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

My bike is like an accusation every time I walk through the garage. There it sits, unridden in more than three years. I went from riding almost every day to not riding at all, almost overnight. Maybe my hip would benefit from riding.

Yesterday was one of those gloriously beautiful days that make Pacific Northwest summers special: 76 degrees, 30 percent humidity, gentle breeze, just a few puffy white clouds in the sky. Just not having enough of the, this year.

    Morning,
WW meeting completed, no more plans for day other than stay in where air conditioning keeps house about 20 degrees cooler than outside.
Hope backs, knees and hips are better
NE stay safe, you know these wild women, Fay, can stir up a ruckus; not named storm when passed through here but with heat and rain made it miserable

    Good Morning

I might need to borrow my pump back from the neighbors and put some air in the tires of the bikes, just for old time's sake and to show I care.

Not much planned today. Its been hot so I will get out back this morning to water and cleanup a bit before it gets hot. I think it would be a good day to take DW for a quarantine drive around the nearby vineyards and have a bit of picnic in the car. I'll see what the boss says. I'm making progress in getting organized. It was great to get started with language tutoring again yesterday and to catch up with my student on Zoom. Working with another one via email. Life's good. Back isn't too bad, knee is ok, just the nerve pain spikes to deal with. I forgot to check in with the new Doc's office yesterday but look forward to getting a consult, even if it is a teledoc appt. I restart PT next week.

Talked about bike but haven’t done it yet...

My back is fine despite under-sink repair torture session yesterday. Had some back issues years ago after a bad fall on winter ice, but seems to have gone away with time. Knock on wood.

Went for an early hike today and just got back. Thought trails would be almost empty, and were for awhile, then a couple on bikes went by, stopped, asked me if I knew where we were. No masks, the guy pulls out a map and comes over to show me... Back at the car people with German shepherd that comes over and corners me growling.

    Grrrrr.

Driving to RI this afternoon to see new GS William. Bringing a loaf of my sourdough bread for them, baked last night. Maybe a Zoom meeting tonight with book club if I’m back in time.
