    Mornin' BBB.

First caprese salad from garden tomatoes and basil last night for dinner. Been harvesting cucumbers for a week. Eggplants are exploding. Japanese beetles love eggplant. Striped beetles like the zucchini and cucumbers. I countered with spinosad spray yesterday afternoon. I would have treated sooner, but all of the local garden shops were out and Amazon sent me the wrong stuff when I first ordered it. Second time they got it right.

LOL, I agree Dennis. Remember the slide ruler? Then came the Texas Instruments calculators. Pong was the first video game. In the late 80's, the first cell phones that required a 10lb battery pack. We have come so far.

    BBB OP ;-)

    Good morning BBB crew.

Looks like nice weather for the next few days. Wish we could do more to enjoy it.

I like sauteed kale, because I like chewy greens. I like every leafy green vegetable I have ever tried, for that matter, served with spiced vinegar (we keep a bottle of palm vinegar with a few garlic cloves and some Thai chiles in it). I don't like cooking any of them until they are mush.

We'll have stir fried beef with snow peas, tonight. That is the other vegetable we are getting plenty of from our garden.

    Good morning.

We're in the home stretch now. Been having last meals with local friends, packing, blah blah.

She had her C2J moment, but it didn't break my way. It was when she was packing handbags. But she still isn't planning on doing anything about it.

    *sigh*

Oh Lee so sorry about your Japanese Beetles. I am hoping our four-pronged program will work. We have yard debris quarantine, ground treatment for grubs, adult treatment where a few more beetles might be found via traps, and also some pheromone traps too. Not sure but worth a try with the consequences.
Oh romeo romeos wherefore art thous romeos??
Oh yeah I was that geek with a slide rule and even had a circular slide rule too.
Oh yeah spicy vinegar is great with cooked kale or collard greens too.
We had 3 tomatoes ripe on the 4th of July but are waiting for some more to get ripe.
We had sugar snap peas again with slices of ginger plus a wave of garlic clove (stir a 1/2 clove around in pan in olive oil or butter for a minute or two) plus water chestnuts. Yum.
    Cheers!!

    Hello

Lisa I likely resting up after caring for all 3 babies at once this weekend according to her fb page LOL. Likely she is knee deep in WW too, lady is busy busy. Raine, oh Raine, another busy business owner!!!

Me, well, Im at my office desk today hating every minute of it! Getting something done though. And resting my knee, so there's that.

I see a slightly pink cherry tomato, just one, the rest still green. A few roma's are growing on the vine. Picked a few jalpapeno peppers. My dahlias are coming along, okay. The asian lillies are exploding nicely. Its a bit too hot for the containers of annuals though, especially after abanding them last week on vacation.

The caprese salad from garden tomatoes and basil sounds great! My basil is doing good.

The jap beetles are getting sprayed dead at my house with sevin - or theyll knock out my knock out my knock out rose shrubs, I refuse to let them!. Dont tell my garden club, they frown on that. Yet I have plenty of pollenators around, so Im not worried.

Lou, you must be almost done packing now?

DS1 is coming from TX via airplane and masked for a visit end of next week. Staying for a week over ds2's 30th bday! Yay!!!

Friday is our new lake lot septic inspection and land survey! Things are moving along! Temps to rise into mid 90's, just in time for no a/c in the RV for the weekend ugghhh... still better then a day in the a/c'd office! ha

    Have a great day BBB

    Woo hoo Mary. Things are
    Moving along.

My cucumber plants are all bloomed. Did I tell you that I never planted a seed though? From my compost. Ha ha ha

Dennis, sorry your ROMEO ‘s didn’t make it

Lou, don’t push it. A woman is more likely to give up her man than a perfect handbag!!

Nothing to report but liking my
    Speaker options. Thank you

DF upset....I cancelled his upcoming trek from Maine for 10 days later next week. Its just not wise to put him on a plane AND bring risk to DW/DMIL.... I told him he could come but he couldn't go to Planet Fitness everyday (he won't wear a mask) and go out and about....I think that was enough for him to say screwit....and cancelled. It was the right thing to do....He hasn't been here since last November. That was three cars and a pool ago..... anxious to see the old war horse!
