    Morning~

    1 down. 4 to go.

Long day ahead. DFIL passed two years ago today. DW/DMIL are going to need some extra attention today.

PT this morning; full workday; virtual HH with friends tonight on Zoom I went to school with years ago. Looking forward.

Lou - when do you trek South?
Steph - seems like ya'll are having alot of enjoyment from this! Did you pull the plug on the Outback idea?

    Cheers,
    Skip

    Mornin' BBB.

    Wow, where is everybody?

Hard to believe it has already been two years since your DFIL passed, Skip. Sincerest condolences to you and Carrie and DMIL.

Something killed our bird feeder last night. I think it was a bear. Even though it was suspended over 8 ft on a cable, I think we have a big bear that could reach it. The poor feeder was really squashed and in pieces. Pretty sure not a racoon job.

    Birds are not happy.

Hope everyone is having a good morning. Its cool and dry here for a change.

    BBB OP ;-)

    Good morning BBB crew.

That's a very large bear! Eight feet up would certainly be out of reach for the bears I encounter out here. They can be pretty clever in figuring out how to get to food, though.

We are finally into an extended period of beautiful weather - at least so it seems. Rita and I might head for the mountains, today.

    Good morning.

I had to drink bourbon from a paper cup last night.

    A. Paper. Cup.

Moving truck is supposed to show up tomorrow, Skip. If it gets here in the morning, we're heading South to Moodyville for a stopover with friends before continuing on to Louisville the next day - don't want too much time with my brother and his kids there. 😉xn6699v8qs06.jpg

    Good Morning,
Continues HOT and HUMID, upper 90's today
Got out of doctors office without any cuts or freezes, do not have to go back for a year.
Taking DMIL to silver sneakers this morning, yoga class late afternoon then men's meeting tonight.
Lee, are you allowed to kill bears coming into yard there; thankfully we don't see many around here. Main complaint I hear is armadillos, coyotes and wild hogs in which we are free to shoot anytime.
Enjoy the mountains, love them when its cool before mosquito take control.
Mary, hope inspections went well and all is set to close in September; I've been camping in 90 degree weather that's when its time to setup half inflated float and sleep in lake.
Skip I'll tell you like I do my DD; me thinks you try to cram too much into a day and week.
Lou, "moving can be so much fun" no one ever hears

No. The bears are protected. You would get in less trouble if you shot a human. You would have to prove that life and limb were in imminent danger.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I don't know about CT but in ME they "Have the right to arm bears".
    • I hope the move goes well Lou. I don't envy you but it will be nice to have the family under one roof again.
    • Yep, it's be nice to the girls day Skip. I know you will do well.
    • Our church is having it's first service in the sanctuary this Sunday. I plan to continue with the streamed services but somehow got roped into moving chairs tomorrow. We don't have pews, just hundreds of chairs.
    • Been invited to a sunset cruise on the lake tonight.

    Morning gang

We went to Subaru yesterday and put in the bikes and our packs and cooler. Honestly don't gain that much space from the Buick. So only advantages would be AWD and the ability to sleep laying down. It was easier to get the bikes in but again not that much. Not sure it is worth $30,000 to us. So we are shelving it for now. Going to add a hitch to the Lacrosse so the bikes can be outside and see how the fall treats us.

Not too many long term sits showing up now (not surprised) so looking into Airbnb in the north east we can stay at for a month or two this fall. There is a beautiful one near cape cod that is only a few hundred over our "budget" that I may pull the trigger on. We had no rent for almost 4 months so we should still be ahead in the year.
