    G’ Morning.

Cool and dry here for now, only supposed to be 75° later. DD is in the air over Europe now. Such a long trip from Bali— 3 planes, long flights, long layovers. I’d be dead and withered by the end. (Hate flying)

Seeing news of churches burned in US cities, and outdoor statues of Virgin Mary destroyed. Sad.

Dragging a bit from not enough sleep last night. Finished my taxes yesterday—whoot! Small refund. At least they’re done. Mass return was 6 pages to report I don’t owe them and they don’t owe me. “Department of Redundancy Department”?

Bike ride yesterday was nice way to start day—more energy rest if day if I exercise first.

Have been cooking more since lockdown started and beginning to make healthier meals.

Portland OR MSL soccer team had their first tournament game last night and beat LA Galaxy!
Glad bike ride was good. Didn't quite reach 80° yesterday but will today. Off for early bike ride.

    Mornin' gents.

Maybe the pandemic is the opportunity for MLS to move up in popularity in US.

Great to hear bike ride felt good. I used to ride my mountain bike a lot. In college, I rode my bike all over town and campus. Rarely got in the car. Bicycle seats just don't fit me very well at all unless sitting almost upright.

Just in from good brisk walk with dogs and taking care of garden. Cool and dry this morning and I had good energy and felt stronger than I have been feeling in general. Am now down to 9mg pred once daily and hoping the negative effect on my skeletal muscles is abating.

    Off to work.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

I was a Timbers fan long before I became a Sounders fan (remember soccer city USA, back in the '70s?) so, way to go Timbers. MLS is already pretty popular. Just look at the packed stadiums and chanting fans at every game (in a normal season). The game atmospheres in Portland and Seattle are every bit as loud and enthusiastic as at any NFL game.

It will be 80 degrees and sunny, today. DW and I talked about taking off for a very long drive, today, over the North Cascades Highway, down the east side of the mountains, then back across to home. We did it a few years ago. We'll see if we get loaded up and out the garage.

    Good Morning!

They painted the house in one day yesterday. It looks great!

Mike, I'm glad that you were able to get out on your bike.

Lee, it is very good to hear that you are feeling better. I will still remember you in prayer.

Bill, it is also very good to hear that you are able to find some relief from your back pain. I too will remember you in prayer.

Skip, I have not heard much from you about your back, so I pray that you are still healing, and that all is going well. I hope the floats in the pool help!

Quarterly taxes and income taxes at work today, along with admin payroll. Fun day in store -- NOT!

    Have a great day!

Yep, according to Wikipedia, MLS is close to over taking Baseball in popularity in the US.

    American football 37% NFL
    Basketball 11% NBA
    Baseball/Softball 9% MLB
    Soccer 7% MLS

Oh how we yearn for 70's and 80 degree days, continues HOT and HUMID here depending on station we will be either 96 or 98 today with pop up showers
Remember quarter ends, do not miss them at all
Congrats on not having to pay Mike
I prefer MLS over MLB and NFL, but more than likely not long before soccer players in US get as cocky as other athletes, use to enjoy going to NBA games but don't like watching on TV. Now not willing to drive into Atlanta for any sports or theater, kids say I've gotten to be and old fart; maybe they are right
Taking DMIL to silver sneakers, will use elliptical for about an hour.
Yoga class late afternoon, if attendance still off will cancel classes till mid August.
    Community men's meeting tonight

    Good Morning

Yesterday was a beautiful day and today is supposed to be the same. I will only be out in it for a short walk. I will be doing a review of my taxes today before submitting them tomorrow. Just a 1 hr conference call today and following up with some of my volunteers as well.

I am more of an NBA guy, definitely not a football guy and am rapidly losing interest with MLB. I enjoy world cup soccer but have never gotten into MLS. I think you have to stream the Earthquakes games.

Interesting comparison to baseball. Portland has no major league baseball or NFL football and soccer has been a good fit.
Will welcome warmer weather this week (careful what I wish for though) to ripen some more tomatoes.
