Mornin' BBB.
Where did the weekend go? Wowzers. Trying to catch up on posts.
Brutal heat and humidity here. Too hot to do much outside other than the absolute essential chores. Watering the garden is OK because I can spray myself.
Tomatoes and eggplants are loving the heat but only one out of 18 tomato plants is producing. Soon it will be a tomato-palooza. Sometimes I wish I had a hot house so I could get a better head start, maybe when I retire. Zucchini and cucumbers are blowing up right now, so there is that.
Is it cooler laying on the float in the water than sitting in the chair in the shallow end? How does the back feel getting in and out of the float?
God, I love me sum Happy Jack. I wish he and Tess could meet. Tess would love him. Babe is a *kitten* and loves only me, tolerates other people, and only likes certain male dogs when she is under the influence of hormones.
Dirty sinks. Almost as bad as dirty toilets.

Broke my little toe. Hurts to wear shoes. Oh well
The roommates dad replaced the light bulbs I put in. He liked his better. There under a globe. Really?
When we left I said it was successful, they didn’t get evicted. And we never argued. Saw parents on move in day and move out day. We all worked hard. Win win!!
Gotta go. Very very busy day. Tons to store and put away now.

Couldn't sleep; woke up at 3:45. But the coffee is good.
I had to look up Buc-ee's, a convenience store chain that really spread around Texas after I left the state. No wonder I never heard of it.
It's going to be pretty warm, here, today: up to 90. I hope to get Rita to drive up into the mountains with me. I hope to scout out the trailhead for a route I want to hike soon.0 -

Going to be HOT here today. Lots of wild fires in Utah but all are South of here...makes it hazy. Need to make a Costco run today for yogurt and granola. No mask mandate here so no grocery store for us. If I can't get at Costco we will do without.0 -

- It is Monday and a small group of ROMEOs met for breakfast.
- I realized yesterday that in my small group of friends and neighbors everyone thinks they are being safe but the definition of safe varies greatly.
- No Buc-ee's here. We have QT or QuikTrip. We'll we don't in this rural county yet but they are all over the metro area.
- This is the week I was supposed to be at Boys Nation. We had a virtual staff meeting on Zoom last night.
- DW is off to her knitting group, Chiks with Stixs.

Good Morning!
Okay, Buc-ee's Texas is ONLY the biggest gas station in the world with like 100 pumps for cars and another 100 for semi trucks with a mile long car wash, I was there in November. I told you all about it while visiting ds1 LOL. Then inside, its everything from milk and bread, to hot sliced bbq sandwiches, cold beer and liquor dept, home decorations, clothes, diapers, to grills and bird seed, hardware, cleaning supplies, household goods, cold medicine, you name it LOL.
Speaking of TX, ds1 arrives Thursday night! whoohoo
All checked out for us with the lake property on Friday, the lot is staked out nicely with no surprises. The septic system is in good order, and suitable for a 3bedroom build if we so choose and was put in 2012. Next step, the sellers set up a closing date for Sept 15 and we get this deal done and take occupancy.
Boat charging system seems to be fine after fix! Still holding a 12V charge reading! Though he is disconnecting the positive cable when we leave for home/ for a week or more gone etc. Seems to be fine.
I landed a couple free huge wood spools used to house cabling, you may have seen these on a construction site, or road side. These are going to make an awesome camp site high top table! Even has a hole for an umbrella! One is smaller, for a firepit side table! SO is going to love me, filling up our garage some more with stuff to hold til end of Sept! I want to stain and seal these in the meantime, ahemmmmm!
Now to find some Capt'n Morgan decor. I need to replace the Jim Beam door decor, on the shed, with Captn Morgan for Tom.
My co-workers that can't do their jobs at home, have been complaining to eachother, so I can over hear, how its not fair I can do mine at home and they can't.... so, Im back in the office this week again. Why do I care and let it bother me ??? Plus covid 19 cases are up, they are saying stayhome if you can!!!
Another few towns around here added mandatory masks in public bldgs and outside if closer than 6ft from one another....
Tom'sdd's bridal shower is creeping up - early August being held at a park pavillon, they will space the tables out, I guess. I decided to signup for this board and brush creative art place and make her a personalized crafted gift. "Monogram wood wall piece", last name, wedding date, etc., I'll try to get there one night next week.
Tonite Im taking ds2/dgf into Costco. might buy chicken street taco kit for take home dinner, pretty healthy and tasty too!

Yoga this morning, then continued to paint; we have way too much trim and stuff that has to be cut-in.
Continues hot and we still need rain, showed 101 in Madison this afternoon
Mary, I would not worry about what co-workers think; tell them someone has to do it so it might as well be me. Or tell them you are getting orders so they have a job, be thankful.
Hope toe is better Kelly not much can be done other than tape to other toe so does not move as much.0 -
