Up before crack of sparrow this morning.

Meeting up with my old paddling buddy this morning at a small lake. We’re each using our own canoe—less likelihood of close contact. Heat index >100 today.

Got to visit with DD home from Bali yesterday, been over a year. She may be staying—says she’s found her true love, a fellow yoga teacher... we’ll see.

Went for an early 3 mile hike yesterday before heat of day. Forgot to post here.

Lee, Palmer is not far from me, about an hour. Not sure why people still don’t get the mask thing. Disease is all over the country.

    Have a good one everyone.

Nice. Agree Mike about being prudent with masks. The rural areas in Oregon that initially had no covid are now skyrocketing up quite a bit because of lack of masks. 1 case begets many.
Hot hot hot yesterday in PDX with official high of 100° (a daily record) and 102° where DD lives. A mere 98° at my house. Got out early for a ride.

    Mornin' gents.

I started this morning by getting me wee boat out on our local lake at daybreak for a test spin. I worked on the motor yesterday, replacing the fuel filter, checking the water separator, and fuel lines. She cranked right up in the driveway (you can hook a hose into the motor so you can run it out of the water), but I wanted to see how she ran at full WOT (wide open throttle). She ran great and it was beautiful on the lake. I was a little nervous about taking her back into the salt with what I suspected was a fuel line problem. I still need to replace part of the fuel line but will do that another day.

Took the pups with me and gave them a good swim.

Supposed to hit 91 degrees here today. Anything over 88 degrees is too dang hot.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

We were at 90, yesterday. Forecasters were predicting a record high, today, but that has now dropped to 94. We'll take our walk early. DW wants to shop for DGD's birthday present, after that.

I'm not as good in hot weather as I used to be. But then, I'm not as good in any weather as I used to be. My Army career had me working in temperatures from somewhere over 120 (in Kuwait) to somewhere south of minus 70. Neither extreme was much fun.

    Good Morning!

Busy day on tap. We have received over an inch and a half of much needed rain. That was with a 10% chance of rain!

Connie speaks for MADD tonight in Leavenworth.

This is the week that I start the bathrooms floor tile projects. I know that I have damage to the floor in at least one of the two bathrooms. We have old peal and stick tiles now, and are moving to ceramic tile floors. I first have to get up the old tile to see what damage is under it. Fix any damage, and then start the new project. We will also replace the toilets. I was going to have someone else do it, but he got COVID. Connie and I talked at great length about this. By my doing it, I can fix the damage underneath. It will be a lot of hard work, but not impossible. I am taking off work Thursday and Friday of this week to work on it.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning

Hot yesterday here as well. We never got out for our drive and walk. I ended up needing to be home till 1:00 and after that it is just too hot. I ended up finishing a loaf of Brioche, practiced my dulcimer and recorder, and made the pizza dough for dinner while DW crafted. Back continues to be in one of its unpleasant phases. Made for less than deep sleep. Not much today except for some cleaning, menu planning, music and working on my back quite a bit. It should be a bit cooler today so I will try an early walk and do the best I can with it.

We continue HOT and HUMID; have seen 90's all of July with a couple days going 100+.
BP up after doctor cut meds in half will keep checked and check back with doctor, seems to be a fine balancing act 90/52 to 194/89. May have pushed too much last week trying to get painting finished.
Steve, working in baths hard mainly due to tight space; hope you are just dealing with floor and not joist. I've gotten where I always use wax ring with sleeve, cost a little more but have never had one leak. Also in putting toilet together make snakes with plumbers putty to go around all openings before tighten. Chalk bed for base of toilet and not let anyone use for 24 hours then tighten bolts a couple of weeks after installation.
    Hope back eases Bill,
I've learned kids never choose mates that we would; but they are the ones that have to live with them.
