Long day/week ahead. Boss is on vacation - so pulling double duty!
DMIL really stepped in deep kimchi with me yesterday. I'm pretty sure she knows it!!! Told DW she is a few words away from finding herself in a facility.

Just back from a boat ride on our local lake. Just beautiful, calm sunrise ride. Dogs had a good swim too.
Sorry to hear about DMIL woes, Skip. Stuff like that really takes the joy out of life.

Good morning BBB crew.
It's going to be a hot one in Tumwater, today: mid 90s. We'll walk early, then find indoor activities. I plan to head to the mountains, tomorrow.
Had a wonderful strawberry shortcake for dessert, last night. The recent heat has really sweetened and intensified the flavor of our strawberries. We have an ever-yield variety in the garden, which produces fruit from June until first frost.0 -

Kelly the homeowners absolutely invited us to stay (they gave a MIL suite and I vitedbis to stay open ended). We just wanted BIL's help installing the hitch and wanted to do that on Sunday since he works outdoors M-F at a pretty demanding job and didn't want to take over his week night.
Headed to dads soon. 6 of the 7 nieces and nephews are coming for a pond day with us. Kaylee has to work. She might come after but it is a 2 hour drive.

We had Franklin's BBQ yesterday, so I can check that box off the things you must do in TX before you die list.
Also stopped at Allen's boots, but remembered how painful boots are to a person that lives in running shoes.
Finished the evening with wine and cheese. All in all, a very fatty way to celebrate my 10-year anniversary as WW staff. 🤣

- The Braves came alive against the Mets last night, 14-1. Although it appears it may be a short season. 14 Marlins tested positive this morning.

Nice rain last evening cooled things off into the 80s
Finished my last 5 hrs of online training . Good thing I had Fri, Mon scheduled vac days off, of my day job to accomplish this.
BBQ Chicken on the grill after ds1 finishes up one last work conference call and we
can get back in the kitchen/great room and start some dinner, make some noise.
They are going to rearrange bedroom 3 for me tonight and turn it into a more functional office space for me and my side hustles. Yay0 -

Today was back to normal with 2 WW workshops and 2 AA meetings and other various commitments. Lily was spayed a couple weeks ago, so she had her stitches removed this afternoon. She was a trooper and never even needed to wear the cone of shame! Etta came home from the farm yesterday with a nasty wound on the back of her head that we also had looked at today. The vet said it was just on the cusp of needing stitches, but since it wasn't bothering her and it's healing well, they decided to let it go. They gave her some pills to take for a few days. Now she's on arthritis meds plus those ... making her the most medicated living thing in our house at this moment. Jamie was supposed to have a root canal today, but it turned out to be just a referral. The actual procedure is a couple weeks out now, I guess. Jim took the day off to help with all of it, cuz he's a rockstar husband and dad.
