    Mornin' BBB.

Couldn't find a fishing buddy to go with me last night to the salt. Tide and weather was perfect but really need another hand on the boat with anchoring up at night. So I got a good night's sleep instead.

So I am going to tell you all a secret. Next weekend, we will be attending a small gathering of immediate family for the marriage of my older boy and his fiance' in Enterprise, AL. Me dad (an Episcopal minister) will be officiating via Zoom. They had to cancel the October ceremony in Mass. due to COVID restrictions. Militarily, it behooves them to get hitched sooner than later. It is a secret, because they still want to have a big wedding for friends and extended family in the Spring.

I have gotten my license to perform the marriage in case something happens to dad, God forbid.

Mary, how did it go with censusing? Good thinking about alerting local law enforcement.

Steph, really glad you are by the pool and not the poop. Me folks used to live in Ft Worth and had a pool. Loved that town. So not Dallas.

    BBB OP ;-)

    Good Morning BBB.
Congratulations Lee - now they can have 2 celebrations!
Steph - you made me chuckle with sitting by the poop.
Mary - how did it go?
    Do good out there everyone.

    Good morning BBB crew.

Congratulations to the whole family, Lee. Great that your dad can officiate, too.

    Virtual communion service, this morning.

    Outstanding, Doc.

Zoom means you can avoid the quirky uncle who hoards the shrimp cocktail and enjoys too much of the open bar!

Some pool time yesterday - played darts 🎯 with me pal for fours last night. Enjoyed. Hadn’t played in some years.

Pool time later. With a few miller lites!

Q: why do we need census knockers if they send them to you by mail?

Congrats Lee and to the happy couple! How special to have his Grandfather officiate.

All was fine day 1! in 8 hours I only completed 4 interviews though. Mostly no one answered the door, some bad addresses. A couple asked to let tgem run in and do it online right nows lol. I got them to work with me....Interesting that many are the worst looking unkept yards on their block too, even in the high end areas. What does this mean?

Gorgeous out again today, not so hot. Tom installed our new kitchen faucet yesterday while I was counting. I love It! Today he is washing and shining the maple wood floors in great room, kitchen! They need it bad. Dirty dirty.

Then when I get off today, we will go get the utility trailer and misc things ds2 has used in his move, see how things are going at their new house. The painted kitchen cabinets are offically done and said to look great! Dark brown to white with new black hardware, grey painted walls that match the existing marbled countertops. Now she wants new floors. Someday. Lol

Enjoy your Sunday BBB and pool time those lucky people!

    Morning BBB

We haven't done our census yet. Didn't get one in the mail. I should try to figure that out.

Think we will go for a bike ride today. Didn't find a very long trail but we are in a lake community with pretty nice roads that aren't very busy.

Surprise wedding sounds perfect. If it were me I wouldn't get around to the party later. 🤷

Census called me at 1:40 this afternoon telling me I had to be at training at 8:30 in the morning a 90 minute drive from here, sorry I have a 9:30 yoga class in the morning. Told them if I had long enough notice could possibly cancel yoga class; at least a week. Maybe better off not fooling with them.
Congrats Lee, license to marry; you can setup an Elvis chapel for marrying after Park Lane, teach Babe to play piano and howl.
DD and DGS left early this morning, may be back later in week or next week.
Continues HOT with us needing rain

Lee, my Dd24 and her hubby did that, too. In fact, they're coming up on their real 3 year anniversary very soon, although their actual wedding was only 2 years ago. I think it's kinda romantic!
Sorry about the fishing, but I'm glad you slept well. Maybe that was the plan?
Have you ever wondered about the game of darts? Traditionally, it's a bar game. So we give people lots of alcohol, get them all hyped up with their friends, then have them throw sharp objects through a crowded room. Huh.
The new kitchen sounds really nice, Mary! I hope they love it!
((((Dennis))))) I know all about technical issues at church, and I feel your pain.
Oooooo! I love the Babe/Elvis idea!

So we just got out of quarantine. Ugh. Dd24 had gone back to work for the first time after having her baby this week, and it was a tough week for them. Her dh worked an extra shift, and the baby didn't cooporate well with sleep, and work was super-stressful, and I found out Tuesday that she wasn't eating. She'd had crackers and fruit snacks for dinner that night! So, my Mom-radar went up, and on Thursday, after my last workshop, I drove there, bought them groceries, and fixed a nice meal. I still made it home in time for my Bible study, and all was well. But then, Friday morning, when I was all ready to go into WW, I got a call from her dh saying that a co-worker of hers who she'd been with ALL WEEK had tested positive for COVID and now we were all potentially exposed. SHOOT. I called in to work, Jim came home immediately from his work, and we called the doctor. Dd had gone in immediately for a test, and our doctor said to wait to hear from her before we got tested. If she was negative, we were okay. So, we waited, and stayed HOME. In that time, she had to quarantine in her basement away from the baby, which left her amazing dh to do full-time daddy duty. (Here's a little tidbit of trivia for you: her breastmilk was still safe. Apparently COVID doesn't transfer through it.) We found out this morning that she tested negative - thank God! And that means we can resume life again.

And that was our weekend. I got Jim to watch 2 chick flicks out of it, so I think I win.
