After breakfast I’m Off to grocery pickup at 9:00 at Walmart. Will stop at a trail between here and there for an hour walk.
Very warm here this morning for this area, Hurricane Isaias is coming our way tomorrow night. Heard there was a tornado west of here last night. Lee, did that affect your area?
Have a good one.0 -
Good Morning!
Stay safe with the weather, and with COVID!
Back to work today. I have the backerboard down, and it is drying. I will dry fit the tile tonight, and then it needs to be set in mortar. I don't know if all of that will happen tonight or not.
Busy day at work today.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
We didn't get much severe weather. I think it went just north of us, Mike. Someone posted a video last night of what looked like a very weak funnel forming in Sharon, CT, emphasis on weak.
Dave is off camping?
Keep on keeping on, Steve. You will get 'er done.
Be OP ;-)0 -
Good Morning,
Continues HOT, was hoping to get rain from Isaias but rain is on east side as it skirts GA

Getting vents, returns and air handling units cleaned today; hope it helps allergies

Good morning gentlemen.
Camping is next week, Lee. As I wrote, it's the extended preparations that take away from the experience, for me. We have the grandkids, Thursday to Saturday, too, while their parents are off climbing Mount Adams (the second highest of Washington's Cascade volcanoes). So that cuts into the camping preparation time, in DW's eyes.
Have a slight marine push, in our weather, today. Overcast, now, with a few scattered showers around. It will warm to the high 70s, this afternoon, though.
Good luck on the tile, Steve. That's one task I have never taken on.0 -
Good Morning and Happy New Brunswick Day!
We will be dining on Oven Fried Fish and Chips tonight served with Malt Vinegar with Butter Tarts for desert. Heather's side of the family is from New Brunswick. Another day in the high 80's/low 90's our standard summer weather. We enjoyed a nice drive down to Niles where we walked around a bit and enjoyed a scoop of all-natural ice cream. Niles was where silent films were made in the Bay Area. They still have a silent film theatre there, though it is closed. I was struggling a bit so we kept it short. Early morning "Contactless" appointment with the Cardiologist this morning. I finally agreed to go back to him at my last physical.
Have fun with the tile. We did a small bathroom once. I did the measuring, my wife did the cutting. Still looks good though the grout could use a scrub.0 -
Have fun camping Dave for sure!! Also could you please remind me how you make your homemade PINAKURAT filipino vinegar condiment using coconut vinegar etc. Do you or your wife put part of it in a food processor to grind it or simply put all the ingredients in a jar with the vinegar. Remind me of your ingredients. Thanks.0

Bob, our spiced vinegar is palm vinegar (we buy a brand from the Philippines we find at an Asian market). Rita throws in a handful of Thai chilis and a couple cloves of garlic, and that's it. In a few days, it is pretty spicy. It sits on a lazy susan along with a lot of other condiments and our pill bottles. Spiced vinegar is great on any leafy green vegetables and, mixed with some soy sauce, is the dip we use for lumpia.0
