Thunderstorm just started early as I was getting ready to head out for a hike. Wasn’t forecast until this afternoon.

Walmart run went smoothly yesterday. I still order online and they come out and load in back of my SUV. Massachusetts having new clusters of COVID because of 4 asinine parties. And Maine, which has done very well, and which requires quarantine or testing for visitors, now says 30+ people came to Acadia National Park who were positive. What will happen when kids return to college? That seems an accident waiting to happen.

Steve, update us with pictures of tiles etc as you progress...

    Good morning gentlemen.

Yeah, looking forward to the ongoing tile report.

Shopping for another birthday gift for DGD and groceries for next week's camping expedition, then edging and mowing the lawn.

Made several calls and sent e-mails to golden retriever breeders, yesterday. Man, it is hard to find a puppy, or to even get in line to maybe qualify to get one. This is like trying to adopt a baby.

    Good Morning!

Ha! No pictures today, but I will post one tomorrow. I started dry fitting the tile last night. I should be able to finish that tonight. There will be some cutting, but not a ton. This project is kicking my rear. I'm glad, however, that I'm doing it, and not having a contractor half-rear it.

We are having beautiful weather this week, and I'm in the office. This morning, it got down to the low 50s, very close to a record. Highs in the 80s. Heat and humidity will build back in this weekend, but the closer we get to labor day, the less long heat waves we will have.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning

Temps cooling down today, possible to the 70's as a cloud layer comes in. A good day for a long walk, if I could. I will try some reading and doing my conf call out back if my sitting is working well today. I had a good video visit with the Cardiologist yesterday morning. He is only worried about my fall off in activity level this past year. Decided I could skip a stress test this year. PT late this afternoon.

    Good Afternoon,
Staying busy, 6 yoga classes this week, plus getting DGK's ready for going back to school Thursday; know I have given each a couple masks; they don't know where they are. Then they argue teachers are wearing mask they shouldn't have to. I thought my kids were hard to deal with in their teen years, DGK's are worst; glad their parents have to handle them most of the time.
Working every day then trying to re-tile a bath; you need to rest some time, don't stress life.
Heavy rain yesterday which we needed but we got over an inch in less than 15 minutes; ran off before it had time to soak in. Wind also tore up tomato plants and cages.

Hmmm lost my post. Thanks Dave for the spiced coconut palm vinegar ideas. I am going to stick with garlic, palm vinegar (silver swan from Philippines), hot peppers and maybe a bit of ginger root.
Our grandson is weathering it out at St John's University (Queens NY) during the storm. He is in quarantine and can't leave his campus apartment for 14 days. He is totally by himself. Food is brought to him once a day. He doesn't test positive for Covid but a precautionary measure by St John's.
Very nice weather here in PDX right now and lots of very tasty tomatoes right now.
Sadly rural Oregon thinks it is immune and 300 cases broke out form one church gathering in Union County.
Anyway I am glad the Portland Timbers came alive and won there soccer match over New York City in the quarter final match.
