Been waking up just before 5 AM alarm lately. Got together at 6:30 with a friend to paddle a local pond yesterday while it was still relatively cool. Quit around noon, 85º and still heating up. Heat warnings through tomorrow night here. Fish were jumping out of the water like kangaroos. Noticed cops had cut down trees where rope swing had been; scene of too many teen parties I heard.
Lee congrats on DS's marriage. That's so nice yer dad got to officiate, a blessing for the couple the rest of their lives.
Steve, a man is truly king of his castle when he has his own throne.
My cousin Marie who lived with us when I was a wee lad turned 89 yesterday. Where do the years go?
I missed checking in yesterday.

Sam, how are you today? I know you have had this problem before so you know what to do. Prayers for a complete and speedy recovery and that you get the BP down.
Thanks for the congrats. They are good kids and they will get a lot of support from both sides. Yes, it was quite an emotional event for dad (and myself) and the couple intentionally did it at this time for him. Although he is stable, he is slowly but surely deteriorating and will probably never put on his vestments again.
Bittersweet that the rope tree swing is gone. I imagine many a good time was experienced there, but safety is paramount.
Congrats to Cousin Marie! Woot!
Has the King sat on a finished throne yet?

Good Morning!
Late checkin. Last night, and yesterday, I was so exhausted that I went to bed shortly after dinner. I didn't exercise this morning. I know I've gone out too far with my energy levels. I might not get the toilet installed tonight either. I don't like how I feel. I knew that I was taking on a big project, but two weeks solid of that, and other smaller projects has taken its toll. I am feeling my 60 years old right now. I'll be fine, and I might even get the toilet installed tonight, but I'm not going to push it.
Lee, congratulations again. Prayers for your family, as your father declines in health.
Sam, including you in prayer that you get your health situation under control.

Sam, I hope you have gotten things back under control or can get to the Doc. I will be praying.
I managed to finally sleep thru the night and for the first time in a while am not as stiff as usual this morning. Tacos Al Pastor were amazing if I do say so myself. Worth the work preparing the chili paste Sunday Night. Now to rework the enchilada sauce recipe to get a similar depth of flavors. PT this afternoon and shopping.0 -
