Good morning.
I had a picture pop up in my FB memories from a trip I took to Michigan. I remember checking out a Weight Watchers (we were still calling it that back then, apparently) meeting there with a leader who was just the absolute worst. I asked if I could get a picture with her because I was compiling a gallery of shame and simply *had* to include her.
I wonder what ever happened to her? Did she ever improve? Did she turn to a life of crime?0 -
Good Morning
Happy Humping0 -
Morning BBB
Lisa we will be in DeWitt Aug 27-September 3. I think you are nearby. Mary I will call you later...maybe tomorrow, we are still working out trip details. We would be through midweek so lake is out this trip anyway.
Ron got a little too much sun yesterday so after our bike ride I anticipate a movie marathon. Plus forcasted to be 105 by noon.0 -
Morning BBB!
Hump day, and pay day from the feds LOL.
Glad your back is healing and PT is helping Skip! Poor Mr. Cooper, he needs a little relaxer, bet Doc Lee could fix him up!
No ncaa football, word has it. Lets see if our friends on the south boarder get the memo. As of now some seem to still think they are covidimmuned down there - sigh.
I look forward to hearing from ya Steph!
Wonder how the DaveRita camp is going?!
I want this Blackstone outdoor 28" griddle with stand for glamper site, for my Oct birthday present from my boys, I must drop the hint! check it out.

Have a great day BBB !1 -
Good afternoon BBB friends.
- After 3 mornings in a row of asking Alexa for a wake up call and a Goliath film festival last night I slept in this morning. One of retirements true rewards.
- Glad to hear the back is healing Skip. Prayers do work.
- With my very limited travel these days I am living vicariously through Steph and Ron's travelogue. And yes, I did have to look up the v word.
- I got a 'reminder' from Honda that it was probably time for service on my new CR-V. They obviously haven't seen my odometer.
- The SEC - to play or not to play? If they cancel college football in the south lockdowns, masks, closed restaurants/bars and job losses will all seem minor.
- Have a good safe day BBB.

Afternoon BBB.
You could try doubling up on Mr Cooper's gabapentin before those thunderstorms roll through.
No college football will definitely stress a lot of people out.
Lisa is a true Rockstar. Anyone can have a bad day, especially when there is a hyper critical critic in the group.
Blackstone grills are pretty awesome.
Heirloom tomatoes starting turn. Soon, the BLT party will commence.
BBB OP ;-)

I'm pretty sure she did turn to crime, Lou. It's one of those sad, sad stories.
I love you, Lee.
On the crime note, I heard from someone recently who I hadn't in many decades. He was 1 year older than me, and grew up in the house next to mine. Ours was a bad neighborhood ... and I really, really mean that. It was downright dangerous. Awful. Falling in. Crime everywhere. (My own house and his and several others were condemned years ago and torn down ... there is a parking lot there now.) So, while we were on vacation, I started getting fb messages from this guy. I've thought about him OFTEN through the years. He had a drug problem as a teen (and honestly, his home was so dysfunctional that I'm not sure I blame him), and when he was 18 got into a fight with another neighbor over some money. In his drug-induced stupor and the heat of the moment, he hit him with a bat, killing him, and only recently was released from prison after about 28 years. I can't imagine entering the world of 2020 when the last time you were in it was in 1991. He's getting by, it sounds like. It's so weird that the kid I used to play matchbox cars with just got out of prison after serving a murder sentence. I hope he's able to move forward. He has lots of therapy now and a close relationship with his parole officer, who he says has been a big help.0 -
Steph, it looks like you'll be a little less than 2 hours away. We definitely have to get together for a meal!0

Sad story Lisa. Not a bad person but did a bad thing and paid the price. How does someone in their late 40s start over? No money, no job, probably not much for work skills. Let's hope he gets the help he needs.
Skip, what's this I hear about an Air Force Huey helicopter taking gun fire near your 'hood?0 -
It's nice he reached out. It means you were a light in his life.
I honestly think if former coach Tom Osborne would have come out in favor of masks in May Nebraskans would be wearing them. No football is going to be huge.
Instead Omaha just yesterday passes a mask mandate. The rest of the state (except Lincoln who passed one weeks ago) still have no rules and vast majority of folks won't wear one.0 -
Behind in reading.
Good night0
