Hiking as soon as breakfast is finished, then to bike shop for some parts—new taillight, side mirror, chain oil, spare links and cable—and maybe go paddling with DS again after he’s done working.

Read an article on the high risk associated with obesity for COVID-19. One more reason to plan better meals.

    Have a good one.

    Good Morning!

After a little cleaning this morning, I will start on the wood trim for the bathroom. This project keeps getting little things done to finish it, but it is the project that keeps on giving for sure. I worry about the second bathroom, although I have learned so much on this first one that the second one should seem easy.

With COVID, there have been no DUI check lanes this year. Today, is what MADD is calling Saturation Saturday. This is where law enforcement agencies across the country all head out with purpose to stop impaired driving. Tonight, I have the opportunity to ride with a Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper. He is a member of the BAU (Breath Alcohol Unit), and is a Drug Recognition Expert. I'm looking forward to this opportunity.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning

Busy day yesterday. After tutoring in the morning and a quick errand, I ended up being called about my CPAP machine and that I could come and pick it up about 40 minutes away. I was able to get the instruction as well, of which a modified Covid-19 version was available. First night was a bit rough, but time will tell. Nothing planned today. Gotta check in with the boss.

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Enjoy your ride-along Steve.

Got a little rain, yesterday. I spent some time in the shop, too. The wood I was given is laburnum, or golden chain tree. Really wet, as it was just cut, but hard too. Interesting. I rough turned a bowl, then turned a goblet all the way. Eager to see how it holds up to drying. Really striking grain and contrast between sapwood and heart wood. Have to rough another one, today.

Hey Mike good luck with your hiking and biking. I just got back from my ride at dawn. Canoeing sounds great too. Yeah being fatter w Covid uh not a good idea. Also being lighter is better for my somewhat arthritic knee.

"Good on ya" Steve for going along on the ride-along.

Got 1/3" of rain here in last 24hours or so. Way better than nothing.

Still enjoying my homemade pinakurat spicy coconut vinegar thanks to Dave.

Dog training in 90 degree heat today. Ugh.

Fishing in the sound tomorrow. Supposed to be low wind day.

    Be OP ;-)
