Heading out for another hike, hopefully have all my gear this time...
Stopped by DD’s yesterday to wish teenage DGS & DGD happy birthday—born same day 2 years apart.
Steve, that sounds like quite an experience. Most of us have no idea what the police go though or what kinds of spectacles they see. Glad they got the guy off the road. Cops sure earn their pay protecting the rest of us.

Mornin' gents.
Sore this morning from being out in the salt yesterday. Its a good kind of soreness you get when you were fighting a lot of fish. Fishing buddy and I were strictly using fly rods and we found and caught a lot of striped bass. Best day I've had in the salt in a long time.
Steve, that was quite the experience you had with the trooper. Thank goodness you all stopped him, and thank goodness the trooper was able to control the situation without having to discharge his weapon. Saw the photo of your bathroom project. Very nice work!
Sam, being comfortable barefoot is something that I haven't been able to do for a good 20 years.
So glad you are feeling better.

Guys, thank you for the kind words. I did have a great learning opportunity with the state trooper on Saturday night. I am honored to be able to participate like that.
I am so glad the first bathroom is finished. Less than an hour of work left on little trim things. I am going to wait until after Labor Day for the second bathroom. It will go much easier, I'm sure.
Still really busy at work. Very hot and humid again this week.

Good morning gentlemen.
I cooked supper outside, last night and Rita and I sat down and ate on the deck. Really pleasant. We don't do that enough.
I never made it to the shop, yesterday. I did watch the Indy 500, all the way through. It's been years since I watched any sort of auto race for more than a few minutes. Yard work on tap, today. Should be around 80 and sunny.0 -

Another smoke filled day ahead. Air quality was Very Unhealthy at times yesterday, but mostly Unhealthy which is better I suppose. All you can do is stay inside. Evacuation Warning area is about 5 miles from here. We shall see what the day brings0 -
