Early here too. My thigh bruise (outer thigh) just below hip is doing ok. Sorry you can't sleep.
My DW complains about all the pears from our tree but she just made some "worldclass" chutney with some pears. Very tasty.
I will have to re-adjust for fall soon. I ride in darkness starting out and end up in breaking dawn.
Hope all are doing better with their pains. I just found out my sister-in-law has covid-19.
Sorry she has to go through this.

    Mornin' gents.

All my pears were blown off the tree when the remnants of the Carolina hurricane came through our area. Every last one, gone.

Hope that bruise heals up quickly, Bob. Prayers for your DSIL.

Funny story, I'm limping now. Was walking on local hunt club property when Tess, my 13+ yr old girl tried cornering a bear yesterday and the bear was not amused and started to huff and stand its ground. Well, of course I had visions of my poor Tess getting mangled so I ran (key word is "ran") at the bear hollering and waving and looking for something to throw at it. Thankfully the bear took off, evidently I am a very scary man, but I tore my calf muscle in my left leg. So actually, I am a scary, old and out of shape, man.

    Sorry, no time for photos.

    Be OP ;-)

Oh dear... will pray for your SIL today, Bob.

Very chilly here this morning, mid-50's.

Biked yesterday afternoon. Made mistake of driving to state park where there's a lake with a beach and picnic area on the last weekend before school resumes. Crowded with people on the dirt roads, so I drove another 20 minutes to a remote area. Did meet two motor-bikes and a couple walking, but had 6 miles of nice scenery with nice weather. Sand and loose stones made the old rail trail a workout. Slept like a log last night.

    Have a good day.

    Good Morning

Glad to hear the thigh is doing better Bob. I wish we were closer I would ease your DWs struggles and carry off some pears to bake with and fatten the neighbors. Who doesn't like a good pear? I will pray for you DSIL today for a mild case and quick turn around.

We had a wonderful day at the coast yesterday. We managed to skirt all fire areas. The most active I have been this year. We explored Pillar Point Harbor for a while and then drove a bit south and parked on a side street so we could get down to the North Beach. It has been far too long since we walked in the surf. The sky never cleared and the Pacific was still a bit chilling but we were happy. Iced and rested after we got home. All soreness was fairly transient and responded to my adjustments. Very very happy with almost 3 miles of meandering. My wife was smiling to be back oceanside as was I. We will eventually live even closer when we head North in a few years to live out our days. Not too crowded, people were very compliant with masks and social distancing. Quiet day today trying to restart my workouts while icing and tensing to ensure no aftereffects. There will be chores and music. And I will go for a shorter walk with a smile under my mask.

Ouch, Lee. At least the bear didn't eat both of you...

    Good Morning!

    Late check-in.

Wild storms this morning. I drove to work this morning in rain as heavy as I've ever seen. I was in the middle lane on I-70, and traffic was just moving at 27 mph.

Bob, keeping your sister-in-law in prayer.

Lee, that is some scary stuff! I'm glad that you were able to scare the bear away. It is too bad about your calf. That is very painful. I'm afraid that you might be feeling that for a couple of weeks. Those don't go away quickly.

    Have a great day!

Continues HOT & HUMID here 90's
Took DMIL to spend week with DD,
27 mph be thankful you were not in Atlanta, I remember 6 and 7 mph because police had a vehicle pulled over on the side of road.
Pulls and sprains can take longer to heal than a break; we are thankful bear did not decide to charge you
Sorry about DSIL Bob, pray she has a very lite case and is back in routine in a couple of weeks; folks have told me quarantine is worst than virus.
Some fried pear pies sound good
