Anyone watched “Forks over Knives” on Netflix? I’m really digging it but I’m a crap cook, I need to get some good recipes.

I haven’t seen it - I’d like to. Vegetarian is easy for me but WFPB seems hard. Pizza!

I pick up the FOK magazines when’s they’re in the grocery store and I love the pictures.

Is Rip in the movie ? He’s their son - and I like his engine 2 cookbooks. And he’s super into exercise and extremely handsome lol.

I have a friend who did their web based cooking class and really liked them.

Now that I think about it, def read engine 2! It’s designed more for people who aren’t into cooking.

Never mind - the esselstyns are another WFPB family who publishes videos, recipes, books etc, I think the dad might have been in the FOK documentary. Rip esselstyn is their son.

I will check out Forks over Knives. I've never heard of it. I am not very good at healthy cooking either. Spice combinations etc. I don't know what to do with it all. I grew up with salt and pepper as the only "spices" in the house. I can make gravy out of anything but can't make veggies taste fresh and flavorful.

So, WFPB... I need to investigate this. I wonder if I can make a space for us in here to post recipes that are working for us.

I watched a YouTube video yesterday ... krocks in the kitchen, they have a whole series about going wfpb. I like FOK, made a recipe of theirs last night but it’s a pretty big jump for most people. Sometimes an incremental approach can work better.

    "Forks Over Knives" is AWESOME
We watched it years ago, and I've been trying to get my DH to move to a meatless meal even once a week and he won't have any of it! Guess who had a CT scan on his spine on Tuesday where they discovered a small spot on his lung? He is quitting smoking right now and we are moving to a meatless diet like yesterday!

Now - just gotta figure out how to make vegetarian fit into my diet goals...

PS - there's a You Tube video called "weekday vegetarian" that is AMAZING if you're struggling getting into the new way of eating.
