My post from yesterday got lost somehow in cyberland.

Nice cool morning again--55º and partly sunny. Will go to church again this week, seeing as how overly cautious things looked there last week. Then drive somewhere for a short hike, but not any popular mountains or state parks on Labor Day weekend. Lost another 0.8#.

Dave, what's a snow bridge, and why is there snow there in September?

    Good Morning

Today is Arizona Day here as the heat wave continues and temps set new records forecasted at 114. We won't be going anywhere except out to water again in the back. When we moved here 28 years ago we perhaps got 3-5 days of 100 degree weather each summer. Now we have 3-5 stretches of such weather.

    Good Morning!

Hot here in Kansas too. Yesterday, we were in the mid 90s, and expected warmer today. On Tuesday, it is supposed to snow in Denver, and on Wednesday, our high here is forecast at 53. The Autumnal tug has begun.

My weight was up 1.9 pounds this week. That sucks, because my weight was up .8 pounds last week. This is not a good trend.

Many errands and chores today, starting with grocery shopping. This has been a restful weekend so far, and I won't rush to get bunches done this weekend. I am putting off starting on Connie's bathroom floor until Tuesday evening.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Productive day, yesterday. Did some pruning on the big flowering cherry tree in our front yard, involving climbing a ladder to reach up with a pole saw and cut a limb that was hanging over the porch roof; mowed lawn; turned a pretty little goblet out of a piece of golden chain wood. Oh, and the Mariners won.

Mike, a snow bridge is when runoff melts out deep snow from the bottom up. The top of the snow can look perfectly normal, while it, in fact is quite thin and hides a large hollow. When over rushing water, they can be deadly. Why do we have snow around in September? Because it didn't all melt in August :D . Here's a view of some of what I was faced with:

The only way around this was at the top, through an unstable boulder field on a very steep slope. I no longer have the balance or agility for that sort of thing.

    Mornin' gents.

Good call, Dave. So cool and yet potentially so deadly.

Grrr. Replaced fuel line and water separator filter and my Suzuki outboard is still running rough. New gas and stabilizer added. Now need to change plugs. Don't want to take out in the salt unless running tip top. Oy.

And to top it off, I'm feeling a bit run down today. Totally beat after a very limpy hike with the dogs this am. Visited the site of the bear encounter last week. The dogs got very excited.

Hate this dang fatigue. I keep hoping if I push it a little harder, I'll turn a corner, but I just get more fatigued.

Switching rheumatologists. I do not feel like I'm getting what I need from the one I've been seeing. Plus she is the one who tried to tell me my Vit D is low because I'm light skinned. I don't know what medical school she went to, but all the articles and abstracts I have looked at suggest light skinned folks have less issues with low Vit D because their light skin absorbs more sun to manufacture Vit D than darker skinned folks. Makes sense, because lighter skinned peoples evolved and prospered in northern climes that have less sunlight. I emailed her these articles and abstracts at her request because I called her out on it, but she has not responded. English is not her first language, so I was hoping it was just miscommunication, but now I think she was just making *kitten* up.

OK, enough rest, back to work on the Suzuki.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Morning!

Lee, keeping you in prayer. Just curious, the fatigue does not come from apnea does it? That was my main complaint when I went to the doc in January. I could not get rested.

I'm hoping for a fairly light day of light housekeeping chores, and little projects. Back to work tomorrow. Tomorrow night, we start on the 2nd bathroom. This one is smaller, and should go more quickly, but there is still a lot of work to do. I at least know what I'm doing this time, and shouldn't have to watch a bunch of Youtube videos.

Hot and humid in Kansas today.

I cooked steak for the first time on the Traeger. Wow! I also baked potatoes, and cooked up some asparagus in a cast iron skillet on the grill. Very good! I'm convinced that the Traeger is one of the best purchases that I've ever made.

    Have a great day!
