Did a short hike yesterday afternoon, no other people on the trail. A nice hemlock forest only a few miles from home. Tried Mt Wachusett and a nearby state forest and both were packed with dozens of cars of hikers and picnickers, so I was driving home when I remembered the other trail. Glad I stopped.
Diet plan seems helpful. Lots to it, but so far I am focusing on just eating 3 meals (modest size) and only eating between if I’m getting really hungry and can’t wait. Then I’ll have only a few bites of something, to tide me over till next meal. Nothing after supper. Goal is building self control, I guess. Can eat whatever I want.0 -
Dave, thanks for the snow bridge explanation. In the White Mtns there’s a ravine people hike into, to ski in the spring. An ice-arch sometimes forms over a stream near the bottom. Someone once got too close a look and the thing toppled over on him.
Bill, 114° is ridiculous. Hope it cools off there soon.
Lee, sounds like not only is English not your doctor’s first language but maybe medicine is not her calling.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Hope you all have a peaceful and enjoyable Labor Day.0 -
Good Morning
We lucked out yesterday and topped out at 111. We all settled in on the first floor with drapes closed lights off and fans on to keep the AC at 78 and power consumption low. People seem to be cooperating since the schedule rolling blackout didn't occur. Today we cool to 109! Air quality has worsened due to smoke. So we won't be going anywhere again today except out back to grill some steaks.
Lee, I have had to move through Drs at times to find one that works. Even then sometimes they change their approach. Find the right one.0 -
Good Morning!
I'm on holiday! I wrote my message for this morning on yesterday's thread.
I'm enjoying the day off, getting little things done.
Have a great day!

Mornin' gents.
Finally Suzuki running right. Too bad not in time to get her out this weekend.
Goose hunt in corn field this morning. Saw several flights of 10-12 geese per flight fly into the area yesterday morning. They did not fly there today. Might try again tomorrow.
Steve, I don't wake up fatigued and I seem to be sleeping pretty well. But it is something that has been in the back of my mind so thank you for bringing up sleep apnea. Fatigue can also be a symptom of depression, although I'm pretty sure I'm not depressed. Pissed off, maybe.
So I should clarify, I get easily fatigued and experience muscle aches even after light exercise. I'm better than I was, but not back to normal. I can do a brisk mile with the dogs in the morning, but sometimes I still feel pretty wiped out afterwards. Remember one of the lines from the theme song for "Petty Coat Junction"? I'm feeling like "..Uncle Joe, he's a-moving kinda slow."
Bill, glad to hear its cooling off, a little.
Traeger grills/smokers are pretty sweet. One of these days, I get one when I create my outdoor kitchen.
Be OP ;-)

Good Evening,
I've been told as long as one gets 30 minutes of sunlight a day they will get plenty of Vitamin D
DS has a Green Mountain he loves, I've learned I can bout do as much with my Weber just not all the WiFi and have to watch heat. once I learned to snake the charcoal can smoke for about 14 hours.
Arm and shoulder still very tender
Finally cooled off a little only 89 today and humidity dropped some, 60's last night slept with windows open may not have been too smart with pollen counts sinus not happy today.0
