Heading for Mt. Monadnock today with DS. He did this mtn with me when he was a tween but doesn't remember it. If I recall, it's 1900' up and around 4.5 miles roundtrip. Steep rocky areas, some open views, forest, and then the last 1/4 mile is all bare rock. A cool morning and 70º this afternoon make for perfect hiking weather. (This is the mtn I gave myself plantar fasciitis a year and a half ago. Hopefully shoe inserts and daily stretching will prevent reoccurring.)

Not dieting today, with all-day intense exercise going on.

Another orange sun in a pale orange sky. Hope Dave, Bill and Bob stay safe from the fires out there.

    Have a good day.

    Good Morning!

We are really seeing the smoke in Kansas City right now. Prayers for all of you on the West coast. Extra fervent prayers for Bob. Tonight might be the night that we seat the queen's throne in the master bath. We are nearing the end of this project.

Next week, I am on vacation. It cannot get here quickly enough. We had wanted to go back to Yellowstone, but with COVID, we are not going to travel. We have not even eaten inside a restaurant since March. We will just do a few local day trips, and otherwise relax.

    Have a great day!

My favorite cycling track the other day. Roads through an old abandoned prison camp ruin, now a large protected watershed area.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Yeah, wish we had another means of contacting Bob.

Sounds like a steep hike, Mike. Enjoy.

No hiking, out here. The air quality is still in the "very unhealthy" category, so we are staying indoors. No fires are close to where we live, but there is no escaping the smoke.

Drove DW to the Army medical center for an annual ophthalmology checkup, yesterday. They told her she needs cataract surgery. They will schedule it in October or November. That's one surgery that is really kind of welcome. I went from sever nearsightedness to 20-15 vision, when I had cataract surgery 11 years ago.

    Good Morning

Sounds like a fun but challenging hike, Mike. Enjoy!

Praying for Bob's safety and health.

For the first time in a long time I awaken to decent air quality. I will get out for a walk as part of today's exercise. Conference call day for me with Miracle Friends.
