leave all the leaves on (so DON'T shuck it) . The leaves and silk are what keep the moist steam close. After the four minute, you cut off the end (and therefore all the connections between the leaves and the core) / discard leaves and silk / season to taste / enjoy!
I also saw a heading that one could wrap (presumably already-shucked) cobs in wet paper towels. But check the net on that as the timing might be different, and there might be nuances to the procedure in the article (that I would not have seen, not having read it)

@BMcC9 I learned the corn trick this summer and it's life changing! So much faster, easier, and less hot in the kitchen. Why weren't we taught this when younger?!
Because microwave ovens were less common then, computers were "at-work things" not "at-home digital encyclopedias of any and all topics from sublime to ridiculous" and compact always-with-you smart phones (more powerful than the computers used to get people to the moon) hadn't been invented yet?
