Hope Rita' surgery went well yesterday and she is feeling well today.

So signed a pre-sale contract for the real estate that the practice occupies. Which means, if the sale of the real estate goes through, I can walk away in two years if that is what I want to do (will still need to work somewhere for health insurance for another two years). Not liking being a land lord. It was okay when it was my practice leasing from my real estate LLC, with a couple of apartment tenants. But now, I just want to be free from the headache.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Morning!

Mike, I didn't congratulate you for the weight loss. Congratulations!

I'm still headed the wrong way with my weight. I seem to be doing a lot of stress eating these days.

Keeping Rita in prayer today that the procedure was a success, and that there will be rapid and full recovery.

Lee, great choice. I think that you will be happier as you continue with your wind down. I'm thinking I still have a good six years to work, but it is really hard not to long for that time to zip by and get here. My income is finally to the point where I really should try to work as long as I can.

I'm very happy that today is Friday. It has been another long week.

    Have a great day!

    Congrats on the loss, Mike!

Actually, my math was wrong, wishful thinking I guess. I need a full time job with bennies until I am 65, so that is 3 years after contract is up with Heart&Paw. Oy.

I'll most likely continue working for them. We will see.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Everything went well with Rita's surgery. The new eye even had a 20/20 eye test six hours after the procedure, when she saw the doctor for a follow-up. Some discomfort, as expected. I am playing nurse, administering a pair of eye drops every two hours, as well as being chief cook and bottle washer.

That retirement decision is a tough one. Military retirement made it much easier for me. There aren't many professions that offer a reliable pension, with medical benefits, to boot.

    Tis Frydee !
Retirement with benefits is great but takes planning
Glad all is working great for Rita's eye
Lee, run for a congressional office; great benefits, salary and retirement plus you can hire DW and DS's and pay them high salaries with super health benefits that general public has no access to.
Steve, I promise you that time will goes faster and faster as one ages; don't rush it.
    Mike, congrats on loss
Bill, glad back is where you can start testing it again
Beautiful days here, cool nights in 50's upper 70's days; but we really need rain

    Good Morning

    Wonderful news on Rita!

Lee, it sounds like a good decision to sell and get read of the headache and reinvest the money for later years. When I had to return to corporate accounting the only good thing it was with a division of Union Carbide. Great pension plan with retiree medical that still covers my wife till she goes on Medicare. Having to retire due to my back a couple of years early has changed our planning quite a bit and eventually we will need to sell this place and move somewhere a bit cheaper with little or no mortgage, probably south Oregon so we can get to the ocean.

    Tutoring day
