One week done! No matter how big or small your successes and changes, great job showing up!
How are you feeling? What has gone well? What changes do you want to make to keep you on track or push you further towards your goal?
I'm pretty proud of myself for the progress and dedication I've shown over the past week. It feels great to finally be taking action to fix the problem instead of just complaining about my weight. I'm the only one to blame for the weight I had gained and I'm the only one who can make the right choices to get rid of it. It's time to take pride in myself and treat myself well with what my body needs...plenty of movement and healthy foods.
Today:
as always, stick to the food plan. Weigh, track, no beer, no chips
swim 1250 m
run 1 mile
give myself a pedi!
Have a great day!

Good morning!
Met all my goals yesterday. I'm feeling pretty good about myself actually. For the first time in a long time I feel like I am in control of my mind regarding food. I haven't been perfect (last Friday and Saturday) but I didn't beat myself up about it or quit. I've been very consistent about tracking.
Today:
Two 25 min walks
Bootcamp
Keep track of food, water and stay under daily budget
Listened to a motivational speech this morning and it reminded me that --
I'm better today because of what I did yesterday!
Have a great day everyone!!!4 -

I've got a station on my podcast called Keep Yourself Motivated. It's just random speeches from athletes (so far). Today was The Rock - Dewayne Johnson. They are pretty darn good. Makes me feel a lot of pride in myself knowing I did something yesterday that 90% of the population didn't.3

My first week was great, and not just because I lost weight. Weight loss is such a mental game and I felt mentally so much stronger this past week. I bought a journal over a week ago, I thought it would help me with my weight loss. I'm definitely not a journal person, but every evening I write in it and also plan my week and set goals. I have found that this has really helped me. I also made a decision to look on MFP for a group I could join for accountability and encouragement, and then I found this group which has been great. Last night I didn't want to work out, but I had posted earlier in the morning that my plan was to work out. Some of the members in this group posted encouragement about my plans to workout. So yesterday evening, when I didn't want to workout I thought of those posts and I got off my couch and worked out.
@mrsshots2011 I am going to look for that podcast, it sounds like another tool that will help in my weight lost journey.6 -
I forgot to post my goals for today
Today is going to be a weird day, so I'm not sure what I am going to be able to do. I would like to weight train today, but my dog has a vet appointment with a new vet who uses alternative methods of treatment. My dog is over 13 years old and she is having some weakness in her back legs. I don't want to give her more pills, so I am trying alternative methods. The appointment is 2 hours and is messing up my schedule, but I am going to really try to fit my workout in today.4 -
Great job on a successful week 1 everyone!!! πππ
I started MFP 2 weeks before I joined this group, so this was actually my week 3. However like @taxgirl1 said -- this group has been super helpful for accountability and to keep myself focused. I can totally imagine a world where I would start to lose focus and motivation after I started feeling a little lighter and better, but having to report in here is keeping me honest w myself ππ
I'm excited for this week because I'm going to weigh myself and see my 1 month progress next Wednesday (right before Zoom Thanksgiving feasts) ππ I have managed to stay under every day for the past 3 weeks, so my goal is to stay on track this week too. I'll feel so much better about my Thanksgiving feasts "cheat day" if I've rocked it for a month straight.
My goals this week are:
-stay under on calories every day
-2+ bike rides
-spend more time chillin in the pool now that it's sunny again
-keep taking daily walk w Jamey
-start making sure to stretch for 5 mins before and after exercise (including walks)
Keep going amigas!! πππ4 -
What a good week. I met most of my goals and I'm slowly getting better at drinking more water. I broke my cup at work yesterday so I brought my bottle I use when I go to the gym so I don't have an excuse today to not drink my water.
I was frustrated the last few days as I am SO close to falling under 340, but the scale doesn't want to seem to budge. For two days I was 340.2, so I thought I ate pretty well yesterday and I worked out/cardio. I was 340.4 this morning. I know the scale will eventually go down, but I want it to go down now! I am going to try to eat even better today and see what happens. I want that milestone!
My goals for the upcoming week are:
- Stay within calorie budget
- Only 2 diet cokes for the whole week
- Get in my 3 weekly workouts
- Drink 65oz of water each day
I have been really enjoying the accountability of this group and am so excited to have you all on my side.5 -
Way to go everyone! I'm so glad y'all are getting something from this group! I definitely am3

Hello Everyone!
I'm feeling good about this week. I meet my first mini goal of losing 25lbs.π I logged everyday this week and no sodas. Goals for next week:
*Consistent strenght workouts (3x a week)
*Continue to drink water
* Continue to log
* Create a workout Playlist or find one I like
Great job everyone, keep up the good work!6 -
Not reaching for anything sweet has been a struggle. And the days when I am eating out with family or work staff are HARD. Restaurant food literally consumes so many calories!
I added biking to my daily exercise, so that has helped with calories.6 -
@mrsshots2011- Thanks1

got my days messed up. Swimming is tomorrow, not today. Did get my 1 mile run in. Food choices were decent. Didn't spend much time with the horses yet again....so much wind! I'm so over it!2

Today I worked full day in the office and sure enough there was a birthday. I managed to avoid the cheese cake with only 6 polite refusals.
Ate under calories by a hair, didnβt reach 10k steps, but I feel good.
My goals this week, for Thu 11/19
- to only eat back 1/4-1/3 of the exercise calories and stop there β , 4/7
- ride bike 2x 30 minutes, β, 1/2
- bonus activity: Iβll go to bed early since Iβm tired and slept bad for a number of nights in a row

With this group I have just 4 days, but I really like the dynamic and the daily accountability. Who knew?
I only discovered MFP forums at the end of July and I got in 2 challenge/support groups. I also read success/struggle/advice stories and it took me a while to figure out how to learn, what to learn and what to let go. Applying what seemed right was a bigger challenge, because I was supposed to never see it as failure, only as a learning curve. It was/is a cultural shock for me, really NOT easy, and had some hiccup days, but I keep moving.6 -
Stayed under today and got a good walk in. Goals for tomorrow:
- stay in cal goal
- drink atleast 32 oz water
- meal plan for next week5 -
@GabiV125 if you're like me, saying no to cheesecake is a HUGE victory! Good for you!
Great job everyone! Be proud of yourselves5
