Well looks like I missed checking in yesterday.

I have got to quit the after dinner snacking. Bad for the scale and bad for GERD. Might try having a cup of Chamomile tea to break the habit.

Good luck to Rita and may God grant you the patience to deal with her impatience, Dave.

Looks like sale of the real estate for the practice is going to go through. Building inspector for the buyer there yesterday. Its a cool old Victorian home converted into two upper level living apartments and veterinary practice on the first level with two additions on the back for exam rooms, treatment, and surgery. Am looking forward to not being a land lord.

Great that the old girl got you there and back with no trouble, Steve. Did you need to turn on the heat?

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Morning!

Dave, prayers for your patience, and for Rita's rapid and complete healing.

Lee, the old truck is running very good now. I have brakes in good shape, and the engine is running much better post tune-up. Yes, the frame is rusted, and one day the bed might fall off, but.... With regard to the heater. The blower and heater core are fine. The controls, however, are stuck on low. So if I turn off the heat, I get warm air blowing, if I turn on the heat, I get warmer air blowing. When driving, once the engine warms up, it is great. I just wore a t-shirt on Sunday while in the truck. I have a new control box for the truck. I just need to make the time to install it. That will be a Christmas task. I get 4 1/2 days off for Christmas, and 4 days off for New Years.

I get to see the chiropractor at lunch today. I really need to see her this time.

    Have a great day!

Good luck Dave with Rita's upcoming cataract surgery. I slept in on sunday but that caused me some grief on the trails with more peeps.
Nice to get out of being a landlord Lee. Wouldn't be my cuppa tea.

    Good morning gentlemen.

I'll drive Rita up for her pre-surgery covid test this morning, then we are on quarantine until after her surgery, Thursday.

I often think I'd like to have an old truck. I am nostalgic for the 1965 Ford half-ton, from my days fighting forest fires. Then I think about the gas mileage and change my mind. The trucks the State Forestry used had small-block V-8s, and got around 12 MPG, as I recall. Still would be nice to have a real truck, not an SUV with a stubby bed on the back.

Ha! Can you even get a bench seat in a truck these days?

    Good Morning

Bench seats, certainly a reminder of a simpler time. "Bucket" seats were quite the upgrade. Glad to hear Rita is finishing up her cataract surgery. Hang in there Dave! Not much planned today except some groceries and an errand. I need to finish up the living room so we can bring in the Christmas boxes for decorating. I will try backing some crusty rolls for tonight's bacon cheeseburgers. I used to bake weekly or more but it was too much for the back and then the stand mixer, but one is better and the other repaired so it will be good to get back to it.

Thought I had posted this morning...

Freezing rain last night and down to 20º. Cardiologist visit went great. Scheduled routine biannual echocardiogram to check status of old heart murmur.

Have a good rest of day.
