Morning BBB
In an abundance of caution we decided to forgo meeting up with Skip.
. Maybe next trip.
Stopped in Lancaster PA. Went to the local Amish market and saw less than 20% mask wearing then returned to hotel and only employee wearing so we will leave here today rather than spend the weekend. Going on a driving tour of gettysburg then to the mushroom capital of the world. Then a few back up routes. Might stop in Philly for a sheese steak then I think to Deleware. We are pretty flexible. I love hotel points. Dint really have to have a plan.

Currently 8 degrees and sunny.
An abundance of caution is a good thing to have during a pandemic. Sorry that you will not get to meet Doc Skip and go ice skating on his pool.
Off to do a little snow shoe with pups.
Then in search of smoking pellets for the great Covid 19 Christmas smoke off involving a brisket, a duck, and a prime rib roast.
Did I mention that DS#2 passed the New York Bar exam? He is currently clerking for a judge in Brooklyn.
And that DS#1 has completed his flight training and finished 5th in his class (not bad for a learning disabled kid). DS#1 awaits his helicopter assignment. He has asked for the Apache. We were once told by one of his public school counselors that he would never be able and/or want to go to college or compete academically. I want DS#1 to land his freakin' helicopter on his house (the guy lives right down the road from us).
So very proud of them both.

I think that's a marvelous idea Doc! What kind of teacher says what a kid will never do?! BS. Congrats to both your boys!
I'm going to duck into Kohls at 8am when they open with 40$ kohls cash to buy ME new slippers for winter, and I'm out of there quick!
Then home to bake the sugar cookie cut out that Us girls will decorate Christmas eve.
Good plan Steph! Glad your hotel points are coming in so useful now!

Good morning BBB Friends.
- Congrats to both of the Dinwiddie boys. Making Dad proud. Of course the girls do that too.
- Sorry the meet up with Skip didn't work out Steph. Hopefully the Professor is okay.
- In 1989 DW and I rode a BMW R80 down the Delmarva peninsula, across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, and then the Outer Banks. Stayed at a B&B in Ocracoke and then took the ferry across to mainland NC. Great ride and the crab cakes are marvelous.
- It was 25° here this morning. It is supposed to get into the 50s this afternoon. None of that white stuff.
- Mary, my slippers are from WI, Lands End. Happiness is warm feet.

Had a lot of fun with the grandkids, yesterday. House seems so empty when they go home. A one-night visit is the best, though. There isn't enough time for them to wear us out.0 -

Congrats to both boys and to proud Papa, I've learned folks do what they desire no matter what teachers think or say. What bothers me is the number of folks that are discouraged and believes what some idiots say.
Have to desire to go shopping but will hit Kroger Monday when I carry DW back to eye doctor in Athens.
DW made me some oatmeal chocolate chip pecan cookies and every time DMIL walks by she grabs a hand full. They are in a Rubbermaid marinade container which I closed tightly, she tried a few minutes to open and then gave up; would not ask for help.
Last night DMIL brought up a bottle of wine she had bought at Aldi Thursday, took her over 45 minutes to open. She never ask for help. Tore cork up where could not be put back in bottle so I guess she thought she would drink it all last night. Got a large tea glass and filled it full.
Heard noise as she started downstairs she had pulled rail out of wall, when I got to stairs she was sitting down sliding down stairs one at a time. Wonder if her butt is bruised; I do not care to see, but she is rubbing it this morning.0 -
