Morning run then duty at church and an afternoon watching series with my puppy again. Reasonable food choices which fit in my budget, but not being super strict with myself this weekend. Glad for the time with my boy but even with the extra meds I can tell he is in pain and the meds made him all dopey as well. 11 years is a good run for a labbie and he has been a very happy puppy for most of that time.

Sunday 17th January:
3 x Yes. Had a rest after work and travel. Had to come home on an early train. Managed a 40 minute walk in the glorious sunshine. Lots of people were carrying their coat instead of wearing it.
Stayed under calories, finished leftovers mostly.

Condolences on the loss of Rose's uncle. It sounds like he lived a wonderfully long healthy life. Altho we say "just" a year of illness, I am sure that was horrific for all family.

Yesterday I took my mum to have her vaccine (she’s nearly 92). It was very well organised and now I can start to worry less about her. I hope to have mine by mid-Feb, I’m in the 70+ priority group. We hope to have a relaxing of the lockdown rules by Easter, but it’s a long haul.

Exercise: yes, the same, many hours of slow walking and disinfecting public areas due to the virus, carried a few heavy things on purpose for upper body strength. Worked on walking meditations about nature while I'm in the middle of crowds.

My calorie rule for January UACDefining, for myself more than anything, what is the definition of my daily calorie goal. For Oct and Nov, I used 1430 and not eating back exercise. December, I raised that to 1480 with no additional calories for exercise. For January, I am going to try a blended rule; either Food calories under 1480, or Net calories (ie Food minus exercise) under 1200. So, if my exercise burns less than 280 on a given day, there is no added calories. BUT, if I exercise more, I have the option additional food OR if I overeat, I have the option of exercising more to not use a pass day. This flexibility was not something I allowed in my previous rounds. Once I exceeded my goal calories, regardless of my exercise burn. Also, I am defining that I am using the MFP estimate for the caloric burn from exercise. I know I could get different numbers elsewhere, but I am going to use only the one source – good or bad.Date: 1/1

Love all the photos guys. Good day here, the sun was out, I went for a two hour walk with a friend, did my usual knee rehab exercise bike , tracked calories and stayed under. Didn’t take a great pic on my walk today but you can see the lovely shadows (it’s been so grey lately, I’ve missed shadows!) and lush green grass. There are usually lots of deer hanging around here, keeping the grass short!
