I just joined this group because I have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I am familiar with a lot of the diabetes lifestyle because it runs very heavy in my family. My question is...are we still counting food units? I know that my sister did but she has been gone since 1999. I know that a lot has changed.

Counting carbs in grams is best. Net carbs is after you deduct fiber and sugar alcohols. Don’t forget you can deduct sugar alcohols. Don’t overdo the sugar alcohols. Stevia is better than sugar alcohols. Anyways good luck0
