Lee, that's a funny picture of Belichick. I imagine he's getting flak with Brady again being on the SB winning team AND the Patriots having a poor season after they traded him away.
Steve, sounds like rough commute there; glad you made it to work unscathed. We're expecting another 5"-7" today, making our evening commute rough. My commute nowadays is from the living room to the bedroom.
I snowshoed a couple miles again yesterday afternoon, in Oakham State Forest, just 10 minutes from home. Walked to the river where I paddle a lot, now all frozen over except where a submerged beaver dam riled the water. Snow was a good 12"+ deep. More cold expected. I remember my elders telling me that "back in the old days" (1920's) they skated on the river where I grew up, in southern CT, but I don't see that happening.
Have a good day, gentlemen.0 -

Good Morning!
Mike, great pic. You sure live in some beautiful country. Wow.
More snow expected here. The temps will not reach 10 today. Hundreds of wrecks in the metro yesterday. We have snow every year, and we have stupid drivers every year. I know that some accidents just happen, but I saw a lot of stupid driving for the conditions yesterday. We'll be taking the "slow road" to work this morning. Adds 15 minutes, but is much safer.

Mornin' gents.
I was worried you might not find the Belichick meme funny, Mike. Some Mass folks don't have a sense of humor about the Patriots, Belichick, Kraft, or Brady. My DDIL's dad is one. Really nice guy and generally has a good sense of humor, but not about the Pats. He was really damaged by the Brady/Belichick breakup.
Light snow falling here. Forecast is for 5 inches.
That is definitely buttasscold, Steve. Yeesh. Thankfully only 17 degrees here currently.
Be OP ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Rita's eye doc appointment went ok. The doc still isn't sure what is causing the glare she sees in her peripheral vision. He is going to perform a laser procedure, Wednesday, to see if that helps. It is something that would have to be done, probably, in a few months, anyway.
I plan to drive over to the Olympics for a hike, today. I will be on a very familiar trail, but there is snow there, so I am taking my snowshoes as well as microspikes for ice. I'll see how far up the trail I get. Should be chilly: around 22 degrees when I start, rising to 31 for a high. The sun won't get under the forest canopy. Really looking forward to getting out - and finally using my 4-year old snowshoes for the first time.0 -
Good Morning
Off to PT this morning then home for emails, cleaning, and trying to get caught up. I am hoping PT can get the back further along the right direction again. I am looking forward to working on music on a regular basis again. I still haven't been able to go for a walk but think I am getting close if I get the knee a little more calm.0
