Welcome to the March 2021 Ultimate Accountability Challenge, (from now on, UAC)
You are literally among friends and sojourners trying to acquire and maintain healthy habits. Habits rule us, but we can replace unhealthy habits. There is only one way to get rid of a bad habit. It cannot be willed away. It will not just go away, but it can be replaced by healthier habits.
Habits don't just disappear in one week; or the proverbial 7 days (that may work if you move your wastebasket to a new spot).
Let's work together on the basic healthy habits. Some of the members are at the guru stage and others at the newbie stage.
This is a safe neighborhood and we play nice in the neighborhood.
Welcome and let's move forward together!!
RangerRickL, or just Rick
P.S.
I tried multiple times to post a nice welcome image from my PC and then my iPhone. Unfortunately, I could not get any images to load. I hope that is not a new tweak to the MFP system.16 -

@ginadomaszewicz wrote on March 1@mshawski I would LOVE the idea of having a book club, and weird you mentioned it because I was thinking of doing the same thing this month! I LOVE reading books too! I am currently reading the title SURROUNDED BY IDIOTS by Thomas Erikson, and it is great so far and found out I am the color YELLOW! We ALL have a color, and it helps you communicate better with people if you know what color they are, very INTERESTING!
I looked up SURROUNDED BY IDIOTS by Thomas Erikson, and it seems to be the basis behind a "What Kind of Leader are You?" course I took. The course was very informative (and let me say straight off that people are rarely a PURE colour .... and that your default in good times and your default under stress are not necessarily the same, although certain types do tend to default in certain directions
The pdf is available on line to download if people DO want to do a book-club thing in the "What's On Your Mind Today": space.6 -

A morning beachfront run then busy day at work. Today that involved a trip to the beach to catch fish for the sea snake and an end to the monitors love affair. This was quite a dramatic divorce because the smaller female was found half inside the bigger male (well he had her entire head in his mouth). We got her out and they are separated now. Never a dull day when you work with animals.
All food logged and well under budget even with my late night peanut butter and chocolate additions.11 -
Well I was just checking to see if a photo would post and then it was too late to edit so now I have two posts. Oops.

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes

So far looks like everyone's March except for poor Mr and Mrs Monitor is getting off to a fabulous start!

How does one follow a @Dory_42 entry about a cannibalistic creature couple? Nice to "see" you again 😉

The last time I did this workout (OCT2020), I was using a 25 lb KB and my first session took me 51 minutes 🥴 Now that I have a 40 lb KB, the goal is to finish the month with a PR of <35 minutes using ONLY the 40 lb KB for the entire session. Today, I used it for half the session...with gloves...much shaking and grunting was involved
As for food, I'm pretty confident I can stick with the meal plan today (supper is a fish-based ramen dish) hence my reason for NOT having a late entry today 🤷🏾♀️13 -

Now all that being answered. Boy, tweaking the foods to fit into the right percentages each day can be quite comical. So I decided to go a week and eat pretty much the same meals (very very minor changes if needed) to make this easier. I only picked foods I really really enjoy. they fit my percentage wheel and lets see if I can get this poundage to move a bit faster. I've got the older lady sloooooooooo moooooootabalism... hahahahaha I love simple12 -
I came across this the other day, and even though I know how goals are important...I think I will just repeat this to myself each morning lol... I can't manage what you don't measure and you can't improve upon something that you don't properly manage. So off to manage the rest of my day10

@SModa61 I read your post yesterday with interest; I also have a problem with maintenance calories/exercise.
I’m lighter than I need to be – by about 1.5 kg (4 lbs) – but I really struggle with the obvious answers ie eat more and/or exercise less. In normal times I eat out every couple of weeks and go on holiday several times a year (I’m retired). But the Covid restrictions have put an end to all that eating out. So no little ups and downs.9 -
