It was chilly, but I got in 9 miles on my new bike today! It will take a little getting used to, but so far I LOVE my bike! Hubby and I went to a riverwalk area we had never been do and just had a leisurely ride. He got a new e-bike, so today was a day to get familiar with the new bikes (though he went with a friend last week when it was colder). I'm still using my hybrid bike for gravel trails, but I think I'll be doing the majority on pavement this year.

Way to go EVERYBODY!! I have been sooo busy trying to get a little income earned each month by presenting health & wellness products. I had a higher up rep come stay with us for 4 days & we did area presentations. They have a patented & proven water system that hydrates you 3x faster than other water! I think 9 of them were ordered. I LOVE ours! But I found out how many people really don't care about their health & wellness nor do they care about protecting themselves from electro magnetic radiation. Since I've been using my protection & drinking my HYDRATING water I can see & feel a major difference in ENERGY, pain, inflamation, mood & sleep! Plus my skin feels soft!!! We (my husband, my son who is a BIG weight lifter & I) are TRULY impressed! Anyways I even canceled some classes to do presentations so today I walked 4 miles & rode 15 miles on my ex bike! It felt GREAT to MOVE!!
Have to fly to San Diego CA on Tue. My husband bought a pick-up truck & we are driving it back. Then the 17th we are going out west where Dean lives to watch our grandson wrestle! I will be squeezing in miles where ever & whenever I can.
Have a great moving week ya all!!

@KAR328 - The Food Trucks are super popular in this area too. I'm weird because I'm not a huge fan of Oreos, but I'm sure they were fabulous and you really enjoyed them!! The trucks I have trouble staying away from are Rebel Lobster that makes these amazing Lobster Roll sandwiches with big lumps of lobster meat and melted butter on a fresh, soft hoagie roll...Mmmmmm...and paired with it is always the Original Hockey Mom's Brownies which makes all sorts of irresistible brownies that they serve fresh & warm and with a scoop of premium ice cream if you wish. Thankfully the Lobster rolls are super expensive so that keeps me from over-doing that too often!

@LAMLAMSMAKEOVER - So glad you're getting out and enjoying that new bike!!!

@JANET - Or should I say "Speedy Gonzalez!" That has to feel great shaving that much time off of your recent best time!! Very happy for you! :flowerforyou:

It's warmed up enough to get out for a couple of walks here lately and will probably get another in today! The high is supposed to be around 55*F and little wind.

Take care and keep it moving along!!

@dave The Oreos were yummy. Usually they're a bit dried out in the middle, but not these. I thought it was a great idea for a food truck, all fair food. They're logged, the dietitian approved and that was that.

    2.1 miles on the treadmill.

@KAR328 - LOVE IT! Glad they were perfect! Totally a great idea to do the state fair foods. With COVID cancelling the State Fair last year when it normally has tens of thousands of folks shoulder-to-shoulder every day for 10 days, they had some sort of drive-thru event a person could buy tickets for. You had to stay in your car and you drove to each stand and they would bring it to your window. But that was even limited to only so many cars per day and it sold out FAST. But now we have some State Fair food trucks here too and they park at various places around the metro pretty much year round. There are websites where you can locate them too. lol They have the corn dogs, deep fried cheese curds, mini-donuts, fresh squeezed lemonade, cotton candy, etc.... YUM. All health food, right? Mental health anyway.

    Dave

This was parked last summer for a week at the Harley dealership I spend a LOT of time at... 😜

Between steps elliptical and bike 30 miles this week. I also lost one of my best walking pals. My Dottie dog has a massive heart attack on Saturday. She was only 6 and it has been a huge shock. Walking will not be as fun from here on out.

@Tahm42 - I'm so sorry about your loss. That is really hard! It's especially hard when there is no warning. You have no time to prepare. You have my sympathies.

Thank you @sufferlandrian . Our family has to agree that sudden loss is so much harder than anticipated events. I am hoping I am through the worst of it but I have been tearful a lot. The worst thing is I have to stop finding ways to blame myself. Things just happen and I can not control all the things. I am not God...

@tahm42 - I couldn’t agree more. So many “what if” question that just don’t have answers. It’s almost impossible not to blame yourself. It’s not your fault and it’s hard to remember that. Concentrating on how great she had it compared to most dogs. She wasn’t scrounging food off the street in Mexico. She wasn’t trying to avoid becoming someone’s next meal in Asia. You gave her a great home. It will be hard as you turn a corner in the house or come home through the door and she’s not there. Time will help that. She will never be forgotten and what dog could ask more than that. That place in your heart will hurt less with time but it will never be replaced. This is ultimately what dogs want from us. A permanent home in our hearts. You’ve given her that.
