Also ... what a difference a week makes. No swell and a view across the Irish Sea to the Lake District.
@Dave - hope you’ve had a fabulous break.
ETA - a delightful stroll along the Promenade
Here is the original message. (I got Moderna #1 vaccine shot yesterday, just after I got home from Bend. So far my arm only hurts at the injection site. But about an hour after I started feeling real tired and today I could have just slept the day away and sometimes a slight headache. Oh joy my next one is April 15, wonder what kind of mess I will be in then?)
My posts format properly. I have noticed that after I post something and after it posts the edit button does not show up unless I refresh the page.
I’ve quoted this to see if the problem is still showing ... it’s weird!!
ETA:- WoW ... it disappears when quoted!! Also, I get the edit thing too.0 -

Had time to go through some of my photos and had trouble narrowing them down lol, but here are some of my faves. And of course after I took a bunch of time to put them in order, none of them uploaded and posted in order.
But here's how the trip started out....we hit the edge of the storm that dumped 2-3 feet of snow in Colorado a week or two ago.
Roosevelt Lake & Dam
Great fun ahead!!!

@Dave - Great photos. Would have been really nice in the convertible.
@K80flec - You go girl! Shoe in or not you have to complete the distance and you've got this.
I couldn't get in a ride today. I got up to ride but one of my patients coded so I had to run into the clinic while they tried CPR. It was unsuccessful. I hate losing patients even though I know it's inevitable. I just didn't see this one coming.2 -
I'm sorry @sufferlandrian. I can't imagine doing what you do. And I'm so glad you do it.

Getting in my steps
The pollening is happening here in SC. My eyes, lungs and skin are on fire. However I must persevere and get the gardening done. It is safe to say the elliptical and stationary bike are my friend right now. Although I will be walking with a non allergic friend tonight and this is the friend that feels a short walk is 6 miles, so please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.1 -
@sufferlandrian Sorry about your patient.
@darkrider42 Those pictures are amazing! I hope you had as wonderful time as the scenery was beautiful!1 -

CONGRATS on making GOAL to @K80FLEC and @MICHELEG1965!!
@K80FLEC - That would be my ONLY shot at winning my age category!But I'm sure you will have a great time and do well!
@TAHM42 - I hope the walk with your ambitious friend goes well tonight!!
@SUFFERLANDRIAN - Sorry to hear about your patient. I can only imagine how difficult that must be. But I know you and your team did everything they could.
Thanks, everyone! So we drove down to AZ in the convertible. It was sunny all day, but cool the day we left. Hit rain and snow most of the second day. The third day was sunny, but still cool and really windy. Weather during the week there was unseasonably cool for AZ, but we rode the rented motorcycle 3 out of the 4 days we were there. We got the top down once on Tuesday for a 5 minute ride. lol And then the day we left (the next Friday), it was gorgeous and warm. It got to mid-80s and we rode all day with the top down. Since that was the day we were leaving, we got to go back through the mountains and really scenic stuff almost all of the first day. It was glorious. The one pic of
the GPS showing the hairpin turns was high up in the mountains. Definitely a memorable vacation.

k80flec: You rock girl! You put in the work and 1 or 50 does not matter.
@Dave: Looks like a fabulous trip. I long for traveling agin.
@Dean: I am sorry about your patient. I support an animal advocacy in Ohio and they have done some amazing work saving animals that were jus beyond belief. This week they brought a two year old dog in with bubblegum seizures and after running all the tests, it looks like it was distemper. So sad.for one so young.
Well I am dog sitting for 10 days for my Pastor’s family while they fly to MS to be with his parents. His dad just started radiation for prostrate cancer and his mother was just diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer last week. She is in the hospital with dehydration and a blockage to boot. So sad to see both of them battling cancer.

I'm not sure how I managed to go AWOL all week, but I've been moving every day. Great pictures, Dave! Glad you had a good break. Dean, I echo what others said -- I don't know how you do what you do but I'm glad you do. K80flec, uncontested races are my favorite kind!
I went for two walks today, because you know I have to get in 300k steps for the Garmin monthly challenge LOL. On the second walk, a beautiful English setter came running up to me, apparently alone. She let me grab her by the collar and I was getting ready to call the number on her tag when I saw a woman with another dog approaching. I called out and asked if it was her dog and she nodded yes. Figuring I shouldn't interfere if she wanted to walk her dog off leash (on a busy street!) I let the dog go and she promptly ran off again. It turned out the woman was dog sitting and the dog had slipped out through the fence. All was well though. We managed to catch the dog again and she used my phone to get her husband to pick them all up.1 -
