Good morning.
Meeting up with DS this morning. I will follow him in my canoe as he swims across Comet Pond. Sometimes there are loons and bald eagles there in the morning mist.
Yesterday I hiked a few miles around a state park where the mountain laurels are blooming.
Dave, that’s a jaw-dropping picture of your hike!0 -
Good Morning
That picture was a bit jaw-dropping Dave! I am glad you can get out and enjoy that scenery so often.
I was planning to wake up at 4:00 for a 4:45 departure for the airport, but I woke at 3:30 so at least I could get a quick cup of coffee. Yesterday we found we had no hot water in the morning. Our plumber came out and thought found the main control unit was shot, but out of stock for another 3 weeks so we opted to replace the 10 year-old water heater and found out prices had jumped 30% during Covid due to shut down shortages. It hurt but its done! We are ready to head to Portland and start exploring communities by the Southern half of the coast. Of course, our temps are supposed to finally drop back into the 90s as we leave.
Weight has jumped up a 3lbs since Wednesday which I am hoping is some fluid retention from my procedure. It doesn't make sense. 2nd time in 10 days. Overall I am up 6lbs in 10 days. I took a couple off as of Wednesday but now I am back up even more. Good motivation to keep focused as we travel.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Have fun in Oregon, Bill. I love the Southern Oregon Coast. Farther north is still beautiful, but has become very crowded and developed. I have too many childhood memories of how it used to be.
We have a gas water heater, They say these should last about 10 to 12 years. Ours is 19 years old. I expect it will fail at some very inconvenient time.
Going to be another nice day, here. 80 degrees and sunny is right in my sweet spot. I'll want to put a fan in my shop, though. It starts feeling too warm out there.0 -
Good Morning!
Dave, that was an awesome picture! Wow, but you live in some beautiful country!
Bill, I hope that you have a wonderful and safe trip.
We still have two more days of mid-90s and humid. Then, next week is supposed to be back into the 80s.
We have "the guy" coming this morning to take out those two stumps. Unfortunately, we don't know what time, so it is a waiting game. I'm not sure what is on tap for this afternoon. It is so hot out that I'm sure that Connie does not want to venture out much.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
Stunning scene in that photo, Dave.
Lucy is home. Very good first night. DW loves her which makes my heart sing. I wasn't sure she was really on board.
Dino ribs in the smoker.
