Tropical storm Claudette passes off the coast today, humid and cloudy this morning, probably a little heavy rain later this afternoon. Supposed to cool off after it passes by.

Funeral this morning for 92 year old member of my Bible study group, who I’ve know 40+ years. This afternoon a birthday party for DGS who is 7.

Might re-up for the weight loss program I did last fall. Not crazy about the online version, but they may be reinstating the live local groups again, now that the pandemic has calmed down here. I’ve gained back everything I lost, which is not so good.

    Have a good day.

    Good Morning!

Mike, I extend prayers and sympathy for the loss of your friend. Happy birthday to your grandson.

    My weight loss is stuck.

I thought that we were going to get some rain yesterday, but it split around us. At least it is finally much cooler and nice. Drawback to that, is that it is moving Connie to outdoor projects.

Today at work is all about meetings. I don't usually have a lot of meetings, but today I have three of them.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Heading out for a hike in the Buckhorn Wilderness, on the northeast corner of the Olympic Mountains. It's a long drive to the trailhead, over really lousy Forest Service roads, but one of my favorite hikes, so I'm looking forward to it.

    Mornin' gents.

So sorry for your loss, Mike. 40+ years is a long time. I have observed that even though an individual has lived a long and fulfilling life, whether a human, dog, cat, or other species, those who have loved and cared for that individual still experience profound loss. Maybe even more because of the length of time of the relationship.

Hope you get to help celebrate DGS's B-day.

Puppy is causing serious sleepus interuptus.

DW got me a MEATER PLUS wireless probe thermometer. Measures internal temp of the meat and external temps of cooking apparatus. Comes with a handy phone app as well. Now to find a suitable first use.

Watched an old movie last night with the puppy. Flight of the Intruder circa 1991. Not a great film, but interesting to watch for the A6 parts.

    Enjoy your hike, Dave.

Hope you get some rain, Steve. Feast or famine, right?

    Be OP ;-)

Bill: Like the Olympic Mountains in Dave's neck of the woods the Southern Oregon Coast is indeed God's Country.
    Enjoy Buckhorn Wilderness Dave!!
Sending good thughts and prayers for the funeral of your bible study friend Mike.
Got to 97°F in Portland OR , a new record for the date of June 21st. Might flirt with PDX official all time high of 107°F this week-end. Sadly (oh definitely NOT sadly) I will be at the coast that day with a high of 74-77°F.

    Good Afternoon,
Have not caught up with boards,
Sunny Florida has been gray skies and wet weather only seen sun for about 2 hours; more than likely will be sunny Friday Afternoon and Saturday since we have to return to GA. 70's today and windy with rain.
Sorry about loss of friend Mike.
I love wireless temp probe for smoker and grills

Better late than never checking in

Mike I am sorry for the loss 40 year relationships are a gift.

We just returned from exploring north of Coos Bay up to Florence stopping by another lighthouse on the way. We managed to climb a sand dune to see the ocean just below Florence in the Oregon Dunes. Hard work. Lots of exercise using good techniques is working so far. We never tire of the beauty of creation and the ocean is a healing balm for the soul. Cranked up some old worship music for the drive back.
