Another warm day coming up, though not nearly like PNW. 90s and very humid.
Yesterday's dog-sitting was an adventure. DDs Bernese Mtn dog almost killed Louie the mutt in a snarling, roaring, neck biting whirlwind wrestling match over a treat Louie grabbed before Rosie could get it. We had to pull them apart by the collars to stop the mayhem. No one was hurt apparently, but I drive Louie home to RI and stayed there with him the rest of the day. The fight happened so suddenly and so loudly it was scary.
Family is developing plans to camp one weekend in August. So far 3 families -- with 8 of my grandkids -- have booked tent sites near each other. Looking forward to it. Probably will be monsoons.
Bible study this morning, then getting DS from RR station after his flight home from Portland.
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Good Morning!
Bill, I too, am thrilled to hear of all of the activity that you got in while on vacation. That is just an awesome answer to prayer.
It is raining like heck again this morning. My yard is getting so tall. I also worked in the front bed again last night. I have two more trellises to mount in front of the house (legs in six inch holes, and glue at top), I have four pots to put a pad under, and eight lights to set out. Just a few more hours work.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
Yep, most home dog fights occur over treats or food. Sorry about the scary chaos.
Steve, you are some kind of handy. You inspire me.
Well, I guess new puppy and loss of sleep is good for weight loss. Down 3 lbs yesterday! Gotta keep this train moving in the right direction. Finally broke through 280 brick wall to 277.

Good morning gentlemen.
Well done, on the loss, Lee.
We made it through the heat dome. Scientists at UW say this was a once in 1,000 year - or even 10,000 year - event. We officially hit 109, yesterday, though lots of locations in the area were at 113. One site tied the all-time state record of 118. The extreme heat dome has moved east of the Cascades, today. They expect a record high of around 120 over there. Thankfully, we are at 62, this morning, with highs in the 80s for the next couple weeks.

Good Morning
Congratulations Lee on the loss. Well done!
I have lost a good chunk of the sudden 7lb weight gain I had the two weeks before vacation when my meds changed and I had my procedure. Some of it was likely real but it helped me keep some focus while we were traveling. Just another lb to go which should happen next week. Had a PT assessment yesterday with the new approach my Pain Dr asked me to try. Came away pretty sore and was a bit worried. Still feeling it a bit but I think I will return to minimal pain levels again. He is booked solid till 7/15 so till then I will be doing his requested limited workout 2x a day and keeping the walking going. I am getting ready to head out before it gets too warm. I went out in the heat of the day yesterday and wilted after a mile or so.0 -
Thankful that the South not as hot as Northwest and North
Beans and squash coming in faster than we need, neighbors appreciate them
Congrats Bill on being able to move more and loss
Lee, keep losing streak going
Wish I had Steve's stamina and energy
DMIL is at DD's now hoping she can stay there till Saturday.
My car is still in shop being repaired, was told they would complete last Friday and have sitting out for me to pickup when we returned from FL.0
